Continued from last post...
"High is not the exact word", adds Seth.
D:"But sir, it was your decision. I just suggested it."
S:"Because, I had no other choices left."
Dhanraj, looks frustrated, "So now, I am to blame?"
Gilbert intervenes, "Oh c'mon you two! Fighting like kindergarten kids! Suhel, I believe, without your formal permission no doctor can perform such...uh...what to say...such...uh..weird...to be exact, process on their patients."
D:"But it worked. It really did. Until, Bharti did her part."
Gilbert sits down with another drink. He drinks a lot. Already Gilbert has gone through 4 pegs where Dhanraj and Seth are still trying gulp the first one.
Gilbert takes another sip, "That I know. Bharti actually never supported this process. Suhel told me once about it."
D:"You know? Then why are you asking me?"
G:"Before I come to that point, I want to know the end."
D:"When Bharti disclosed everything to Radhika, she felt she was ditched by me, ditched by everyone and suddenly she had the hallucination of her dead friend Charu. Before we can act she ran towards the barrier of the garden, which in fact a dead end cliff. She jumped from that cliff and committed suicide. I divorced Bharti after that incident and...uh...uh..."
Gilbert comes closer to Dhanraj, "Yes Dhanraj, try to remember, yes...go on."
D:"Ah...I...can't remember...how did I come here?"
Suhel stands up, 'Well, I think Dhanraj needs some rest. Go to your room Dhanraj, we'll talk later."
Gilbert rings the bell on his desk and a man comes in the room, takes Dhanraj with him and goes out.
Suhel ends his drink, "What do you see Frank?"
G: "Unfortunate, but still he can recount up to that point. That point ended his career as a doctor and made him a patient. Death of Radhika was really unfortunate."
S:"Will we get him back soon?"
G:"It's almost 4 years now. We are still working on him. The best part is he's fighting back to life. Only those moments need to be recall for."
S:"Should I call Bharti?"
G:"Did you forget what happened last time?"
Suhel now goes out of the chamber and looks back at Gilbert, "Surely Frank, this is Paradise Lost, a sure paradise lost..." and he goes out of the room.
Coming up the Epilogue - Paradise Lost...Regained!
