Soha Ali Khan as Sonia

Hi - It was fantastic working with Aamir in Rang De - I had no preconceptions about him before meeting him apart from knowing he is an incredibly experienced and intelligent actor but it was particularly wonderful to discover just how charming and approachable he is as a person. He was very willing to share his knowledge of cinema and acting and I learnt a lot from just being on set with him. As for upcoming films I am currently working on my first solo heroine film called Ahista Ahista with Abhay Deol and later in the year will be acting in Aparna Sen's first hindil film with Konkona and my mother.

Sonia has a chronic case of die-hard optimism. If her sunny disposition didn't make people feel deeply welcome, it would almost be tiresome. A traditional Indian beauty with a face that would inspire poets and painters alike, Sonia, is both well traveled and well read. Always a hit with both sexes, she tends to hang out with the boys who consider her to "one of the guys". The love of her life is Flt. Lt. Ajay Rathod, and she claims to be more important to him than the planes he flies- no mean achievement considering his passion for flying. Sonia is an idealist, who feels passionately about issues. She is someone you can rely on when the chips are down.
