Geet was shocked to hear that.
G: What?
M: Haiii, mar jawaan!! So beautiful and innocent at the same time!! Hope you will remain like this also after our wedding beautiful!!He smiled at her. She was speechless.
G: Stop calling me beautiful!! And what none sense!! Do you really think I will marry someone like you?! Shut up or else
M: Or else what sweetheart? You will hit me? He cut her in the middle of her sentence.
Now she lost it totally. How dare he!! She was about to explode on him, when she heard someone calling her from upstairs.
She let go of the tray fully, gave an angry glare at the man, turned around and went back upstairs.
The man stood there rooted on his place and drooled over her till she was inside the building. He sighed and went also inside.
That night Geet could also not sleep. She was thinking about the incident which happened back just an hour ago in the restaurant. How dare he?! How dare he!! She will kill him!! And if that is the last thing she will do!! With that she turned around and fell asleep after swearing and cursing him.
The man on the other side was lying on the floor and dreaming about his beautiful sweet heart.
The next morning Geet was assigned to do the shopping for the restaurant, as it was very busy and no one else could go and leave the restaurant. Geet took the shopping list from Mrs. Khanna and started her way to the bazaar. After a few minutes of walking, she sensed someone following her. She got afraid but turned around to find the man from the restaurant behind her. He smiled at her when he saw her looking at him. But he just got a deathly glare from her in return. She turned back and walked further. The man saw that and walked faster to catch her. He slowed down when he was walking next to her.
M: Hey beautiful, he chirped to greet her. But she just ignored him and walked on.
M: You know that you are looking like an angel in this baby pink suit? She gave him a glare. No? Then don't worry, because now you know it. Because I told you. You want to hear it again? She looked at him in pure disbelieve. Don't look so sad. Look, I'm saying you again. You are looking beautiful in this pink suit sweetheart. He smiled at her sweetly like a love stuck teenager. Geet couldn't stand it anymore.
G: STOP ITTT!! She screamed so loud that everyone in the full street looked at them. She uttered a sorry to the people who were looking and started walking again.
But for the man it wasn't a reason to stop following her like a puppy. Geet lost it completely when she saw him again following her. She stopped at once and screamed at him: Why are you following me? Don't you have anything else to do than to follow me? The man scratched his head and spoke: Actually, Aunty told me to go with you to the bazaar, as it would be difficult to manage with the shopping bags there all alone. And it's not good for a girl to go to such places on her own. Especially single girls like you.
Who told you that I'm single?! Spat Geet angry at him.I'm taken. Happy?! The man was surprised at her words, but also a little bit happy.
M: So you love me? He asked with hope in his eyes.
G: What non sense!! I'm married and I love my husband. Don't talk like you don't know. After all you were present at my wedding. Or don't you remember Maan ji?! She spit in anger and annoyance without thinking what she was saying. She was so angry that she just walked away without looking once at him. If she had, she would have seen that she had hurt him deeply with her words. And she would have seen that a lone tear escaped his eyes. But her ego was so high that she walked just away.

Maan stood rooted at his place. His heart was broken in many tiny pieces. He couldn't breathe. It was as if someone took his soul away and just left his body behind. This couldn't be true. This was night mare, wasn't it? It's true that he hurt Geet and that she was mad at him. But that couldn't do justice to what she did just a few moments ago. After all he did for her, she had no right to do this. But this was Geet. His heart belonged to her. She had full right to do everything she wanted with it. And deep inside he knew why she told that. He also knew that she could never love anyone else in this world and that it was just her anger speaking and not her true self. He wiped the lone tear away and smiled. I know Geet you are angry on me and that's why you spoke those words. But nothing can stop me from bringing you back in my life, not even you. I promise you to have you back and be ready for the things which are going to happen, because I won't give up. I'm coming honey!!
With new energy he looked for Geet. As soon as he located her in the street, he sprinted to her. He stopped again next to her with a big smile plastered on his face.
Geet was so annoyed to see him again there, but she didn't say anything.
They went to the bazaar silently and did the shopping. On the way back there was no difference. The atmosphere was much tensed. They went to the restaurant and kept the shopping there. After checking with Mrs. Khanna the bags she went upstairs without giving Maan a second glance.
Maan knew he had to do something but what? He was in deep thought when he saw children playing on the road.
The doorbell rung. Priya was busy putting the baby to sleep so Geet went to open the door. There was a child with a rose in the hand looking for someone.
Child: Are you Geet didi?
G: Yes, why are you looking for me?
C: this is for you. He gave her the rose and before she could ask him anything he runs away. Geet frowned and went back inside.
A few minutes later again the doorbell rung and it was again a child with a rose for her. This child also went away without saying anything.
This continued a few times. After the fifth time Geet had enough and stopped the child.
G: Who is sending you guys to me? She waited for an answer, but there was none. Geet went mad. Now don't stand there like this, who is sending you guys?! Geet was so angry and screamed at the poor child, that she told her to look out of the window and she will know who it is. Geet shut the door and walked to the window. She couldn't believe her eyes. There was written with red roses Please Forgive Me on the road and Maan was sitting on his knees beside with his hands holding his ears. Geet couldn't hold her smile for herself and forgot for the moment even why she was angry at him. Suddenly she heard the baby cry and was woken up from her trance. She looked at Maan from the window and showed him a thumbs down and went from there with a smirk on her face.
Maan sighed. He knew that it was not an easy task, but he will seek her forgiveness. As the roses hadn't the whished effect, it was now time for Plan B. He prayed that the plan would work, as this plan would be his last chance. But to execute his plan, he had to wait till night.
It was around 10 pm and the lights in the apartment were all off. As the Khannas had to wake up early every morning to open the restaurant, they went early to bed every day.
Now the time came and Maan could execute his plan. But before that he had to find the room where Geet was staying at night. Maan knew that the apartment had five rooms. One of the rooms was the open kitchen with connected living-room and dinner table. The other one belonged to Priya and her husband. Nisha occupied the other room and the last room was the guest room where Geet was staying.
Maan had overheard how the Khannas were planning to make renovations in the house and so got to know who was staying with whom in a room together. He also knew that the rooms with the windows on the backside of the apartment complex were the living room and the bedroom of Mr. and Mrs. Khanna. So the three windows on the front belonged to the guest room and the other two bedrooms.
Maan took a small stone and threw it on the right window. Few seconds after that, the lights went on in the room. Maan quickly hide behind a tree and saw a man looking out of the window. So this was Priyas room. After not finding anyone the man went back and the lights went off again. After a short time Maan threw a stone on the window in the middle. There also someone turned on the lights and looked out of the window. This time it was Nisha, but she also couldn't find anyone. After few minutes there was silent everywhere and Maan finally knew which room belonged to his Geet.
To his luck the window was open, so he didn't need to think how to open it. He took a deep breath and threw a bigger stone with something wrapped around it carefully inside, with the hope that no one get hurt. To his luck the stone flew to the window sill and got stuck there. Now he needed to get Geet attention. He again thew a small stone to the window and it made enough noise for Geet to wake up.
The lights went on and Geet went to the window. There was no one to be seen outside, so she was about to turn back to her bed, when she saw a piece of paper wrapped around something. She took the thing in her hand and took carefully the paper away. To her bad luck it was just a stone which was wrapped in the paper. She sighed and took a step, when she noticed that something was written on the paper. She took the wrinkled paper and opened it so that she could read what was written.
Dear Geet,
I know that you are very hurt that I didn't tell you anything about me and Sam before but believe me, there was never such a thing like love between us. You are my first and only love.
It's true that we were to get married, as our parents wanted it. But for me Sam was and is nothing more than a dear friend. We agreed to get married for the sake of our parents, but even before the engagement could take place, my mum passed away and the marriage got canceled.
After the death of my mother I came to London and met you, the love of my life. The last time I saw Sam was in the funeral of my mum.
Please forgive me Geet, because I can't live without you. You are my soul, my heart belongs to you. How can a man live without his heart and soul Geet? I am like a death man without you.
Please come back and forgive me.
I am waiting dear. I am waiting under your window in front of the tree and I won't move from there until you forgive me.
Even if it will take my whole life, I will wait.
