What a sneaky guy Dileep Khurana is, throwing Maan to the lions. If Maan fails, he will be termed a rookie and not experienced enough and rightfully cast out with no one knowing about Vikram's misdeeds. If he suceeds then he will assuage years of guilt and be able to give him his due. Today I feel bad for both Vikram and Mitalee, he swept off the rug underneath their feet; not that they did not deserve it but that slap to the face of Mitalee was too sad. Nothing shatters a person as your father not thinking you aren't good enough.

Is it to use Maan as an excuse or is there some faith in his capabilities? or is it some of both?

Its the best option from either side. If Maan pulls it off, the company is saved. If not then well the company was already going south, they just get someone to put the blame on.
