Wishing all my fellow CBians, those who celebrate and those who do not a very happy and blessed month of Ramadan. May Allah grant you with good health and strength and may his blessings be upon you always. 😃

Ramadan is celebrated in in the ninth month of the islamic calendar, where all muslims refrain from eating and drinking during the hours of daylight and is intended to teach muslims about patience, spirituality, humility and submissiveness to God. Muslims believe Ramadan to be an auspicious month for the revealations of God to human mankind, being the month in which the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the islamic prophet, Muhammad (PBUH). During this month, muslims are expected to offer more prayers than usual and devote most of their time to God.
Eid - Ul - Fitr marks the end of the fasting period of Ramadan which falls after 29 or 30 days of fasting, per the lunar sightings. A special celebration is made -- communal prayers are held in the morning which is followed by feasting and family gatherings, visiting family and friends throughout the day.
