If you thought, this was the big news then you are wrong. To add to her glamour quotient the 37-year-old yummy mummy will be seen shaking her booty in a special number in director Sajid Khan's upcoming Housefull 2. Yes, the buzz is that Karishma Kapoor after a hiatus is not only making her presence felt in Bollywood but also joining Bollywood's glamorous item girl brigade.
We have already seen one hot mom grooving recently in Amitabh Bachchan- starrer Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap and that's ravishing Raveena Tandon. Guess its time for Karishma Kapoor to spin the wheel and shake a leg. More than ever its been a while since everyone saw Karishma Kapoor's dancing abilities in Dil Toh Pagal Hai, now after so many years this lady will step on the dance floor.
Lolo's last jaunt as a heroine was the 2006 film, Mere Jeevan Saathi, alongside Akshay Kumar. The movie didn't do well at the box office. In 2007, Karishma pitched in with a Deewangee song in Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om. From then on, the actress shifted focus on marriage and family.
If this was not enough Lolo is also in the news for her role in Soham Shah's Satte Pe Satta remake. The buzz is that she would be seen playing Hema Malini's role in the movie. Soham had approached her for the central role opposite Sanjay Dutt, who plays the character of Amitabh Bachchan from the original movie. Sanjay Dutt has also co-produced the film. If rumors are to be believed then, it is said that Soham had formerly approached Madhuri Dixit, but she turned down the offer. The offer then supposedly went to Aishwarya Rai- Bachchan and Vidya Balan by turns but nothing happened. And everyone declined the offer, guess charismatic Karishma was up to the task as she agreed on the role. Tentatively playing Dutt's six brothers in the remake would be Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Deepak Dobriyal, Rajat Barmecha and Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhant.
Bollywood is surely in for a treat as top-notch actresses like Raveena, Juhi and now Karishma are making their comebacks.
Over the years Karishma has contributed to the Indian Cinema in a great way. Making her debut in Bollywood in 1991, she has never looked back. During her career, she has been part of numerous commercially and critically successful movies, Raja Hindustani being the most notable of them, as it was her major commercial success, and won Lolo her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She won another Filmfare Award and a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Dil To Pagal Hai (1997). She surprised critics and audiences with her performances in films such as Fiza (2000) and Zubeidaa (2001), for which she received Best Actress and Best Actress (Critics) trophies at Filmfare. Since 2003, Kapoor has been less active in cinema. Bollywood goes old school near future, welcome back Karishma!
