In the Jan 9th episode I was disappointed by Abhijeet's rendition of Aashiq Banaya. He sang like any average singer on a college festival. Could not help comparing with Arijit from Fame gurukul. Does anyone recall how amazing he was when he sang that number?

Abhijeet's performance was fine though.

My opinion.............all of them were not up to the mark. Maybe because they were not competing. It was just a performance to entertain so they were not concentrating on sur, taal etc.

And I don't remember exactly but Arijit sang that song in some of the gala or ranbhoomi rounds; so it had to be perfect.

Abhijeet does a good job with certain type of songs. His Ashiq Banaya rendition was average. Himesh Reshmaya should have been invited to comment on this. 😉

I felt the same, Abhijeet sounded very average. Vinnet on SAREGAMAPA and Arijit were much better. Even Saathiya, Amit messed up. Hemachandra of SAREGAMAPA sang it much better. I think all the 5 did a very casual performance.

Being a fan of abhijeet I thot he was better during the days of indian idol...his aashiq banaya was good...bt if he had sung it wen II was going on.. it wud have prolly been better
In fact, evryone was better wen the compeition was going on...

YA I ALSO FEEL ABHIJEET HAD SUNG THE SONG LIKE ANY OTHER AVERAGE SINGER..NOTHING SPECIAL..INFACT OUR ABHI WAS VERY CONFIDENT ABOUT HIS SINGING..BUT HIS BREATH WAS FALLING SHORT..SAAS NAHI LE PARAHA THA WOH..AS A RESULT OF WHICH WORDINGS COMPLETE NAHI KAR PA RAHA THA..BUT NEVER MIND ABHI IS THE BEST AS ALWAS 👏

Even I was not impressed with any of the singers. Rahul was too weak. Aashiq Banaya was best sung by Sharib from Saregamapa Challenge. Hemachandra's Saathiya was awesome. It was nothing like the original song. He sang in his own style. Amit didn't put much effort in that. I guess due to lack of pressure, they took it easy.
