Critique of IPKKND--Please Read :)

Hello All :),

So I thought I'd write a little something regarding the whole 'copying' accusation.

Hindi serials are like hindi movies. There are certain formulas that writers (creaters) use. The whole boss-worker thing, and the his brother marries her sister thing. The whole love-hate thing. It doesn't mean that anyone is copying the other. Its a standard equation that is brought into the mix in all modern-day serials.

The boss-worker thing was brought into the mix wayyy before KMH, in a little (award-winning, and multi-star cast) show called Kahiin To Hoga. It had such ppl as Rajeev Khandelwal, Aamna Shariff, Shabir Ahluwalia, Surveen Chawla, Eijaz Khan, and many many more. It was reallly good 😆

But yeah, Kashish worked for Sujal, and thats how they fell in love. Their relationship was always the love-hate type. This was the show that started this formula, not KMH. Just a little correction.

I just have to get his all out lol. The 'copying' nonsense is really annoying me.

Also, Kushi is hardly a copy of Geet. Other than the small-town girl thing (which EVERY show does b/c it is yet another standard formula), they have nothing in common. Kushi is loud in every way. When Geet started, the girl was afraid of her own shadow. And the only person she ever fought with was Maan. Kushi on the other hand...very outspoken. Both are little accident prone, but arent we all?? lol
Have you all, as intelligent women ever done or said anything completely off the wall? I'm guessing yes. Thats life. It doesn't mean you don't have a brain. Both are intelligent young girls---and yes, mistakes do happen. Thats how you learn. Atleast it is a little believable this way. I remember in earlier shows (like KTH) where a girl would get hired into executive positions right out of college...whattt??? lol

So yes, thats my rant. Please comment😃

And thank you for this! Seriously, the "copying" accusations were getting lame.

i understand that fans of other shows get angry when they think their show is being copied..its natural. but they have to understand that their show i.e. geet,etc) is "copied" off somewhere else too..

I'm watching it for Barun and Sanya, rest is immaterial.😊

And I agree, KTH kicked ass!! No show has been able to touch it. Rajeev and Aamna were brilliant 👏

I just realized how abrupt my post was ...😆. What can I say? Frustration gets the best of me. I never watched JJKNH, so I guess that missed me. To tell you all the truth--I love office romances. And I absolutely adore the love-hate angle--I never saw it done better than KTH. Sometimes you couldn't tell if it was the love keeping them together or the hate...it was all soo twisted up.

I know I digress :D, but I hope that 4 Lions portrays this love-hate relationship differently than Balaji did. Balaji always went off into obscurity and pursued really inconsistent story-lines. There are more ways to create drama than multiple marriages...
4 Lions seems to have ALOT more written integrity in their work. I have full faith that this story (despite its use of standard formulas :D), will be unique and very well written.
