There are articles out that indicate he will be. But...nothing is confirmed. The creatives are considering it according to one article. If you go through a couple of the pages of this forum, you will find the articles posted.

I really hope that they don't show Gaurav gay. It won't even make sense because right after his marriage he told his mom abt some girl trying to commit suicide cuz of his marriage.
I just feel that maybe he is in love with a prostitute so that is why he is hiding it from Vidya.

I Don't think there was any mention that the person he was talking about was female.

In hindi if u say
"Usne suicide karne ki koshish ki" It can mean either of the sexes.

I guess that makes sense too!
But i don't understand the point of making him gay, I mean if he is gay then he is gay. How and what should Vidya do abt it?...Even if she breaks her maryada confronts him and all that won't make him straight.
But if he is gay i would love to see SSp's reaction as i'm sure he would be a very big homophobic

Actually, I may be a minority but I did feel at the beginning that he may be gay. Mainly because "Maryada" was brought on as such a path breaking serial. It wouldn't do for Gaurav's distance to be something that is beaten to death by so many other soaps.

But it would be interesting to see how the cvs would bring it to screen.

Indian soaps and cinema generally play it safe when it comes to homosexual characters

It is a good idea, but the guy in no way seems like a homo-sexual, in many scenes he seemed attracted to Vidya, u know wat I am trying to say? hence I felt that they got this idea now!
