I think in terms of her getting lost and even her being there asking him constantly if he wants tea lol

Distraction...
as he will have to take care of her coz he mentioned in yesterday's epi that "Gopi can not take care of small things here so and I cant handle her along with the business things"

so thats it...he thinks that Gopi will be his responsibility and so he ran away from his Responsibility.,
