NIVEDITA AND VIREN: HUM TUM
CHAPTER 11

As the time passed, the friendship of Viren and Nivedita grew stronger. They used to share their every joy and sorrow with each other. Their friendship was like a thread which can never break. They shared all their secrets with each other.

Nivedita told all about her past to Viren. She told Viren about her suffering after her mother's death in her childhood. She was shocked at loosing the most important person of her life. When she was away from Shimla, she missed her family members badly. She also missed her friends- Viren, Divya and Siddharth terribly. Viren understood her feelings and consoled her.

Viren also told her about his past. He told her that he miss his mother Chanchal very much as Chanchal is always busy in the family business with his father Jawahar. He told her that he know his mother love him very much but still she can't spend much time with him due to her responsibilities. It was his sister Niyati and Vandana taiji who looked after Viren. He loved both of them very much. He told her that Niyati always cared for his happiness and how once she spent all her saving to buy a beautiful watch for him on his birthday. He told her how Vandana taiji took care of him all the night when he ill.

Viren told her all about him. But the one thing that Nivedita still don't know about Viren was what did he wished in the temple in his childhood which was not fulfilled. She never asked Viren about it but Viren told her about it and said "main tumhe yeh nahi bataonga ki meri wish kya thi. Abhi uss wish ko batane ka time nahi aaya." Nivedita was waiting for the time when Viren will tell her his childhood wish.

Mean while their exams were coming near. They were having 10 days holidays to prepare for the exams. Everyone was preparing very hard for the exams except the handsome hunk Viren Sood. He was not preparing for the exams. Nivedita told him to prepare for the exams but it was her only advice that Viren never followed.

One day Nivedita, Viren, Divya and Siddharth went to the collage to collect their admit card for the exams. They met all their friends in the collage. Vishal and Sneha told them about the 'Youth Ball' which was going to be held in their collage after their exams. They all forgot about the exams and started discussing about the Youth Ball. The upcoming Youth Ball thrilled them very much. They all were very excited for it.

One evening, Nivedita was preparing the dinner, when she heard Naintara Dadi and Keshav talking with someone and laughing. She came out and saw that it was Viren who was talking with Dadi and Keshav. Dadi saw Nivi and said "aaja Nivi, Viren tujhse milne aaya hai. Usse tere se koi kaam tha."

Nivedita stared at Viren and said "tumhe mujhse kya kaam tha?" Viren replied "arre tum to mujhse aise baat kar rahi ho jaise ki main tumhara koi dushman hoon. Ab main tumhara guest hoon to tumhe mera welcome karna chahiye. Mujhse chai ke liye poochna chahiye hain na!!!" Keshav and Dadi laughed.

Nivi understood him and said "thik hai main abhi tumhare liye chai banakar lati hoon." While she was going in the kitchen Viren said "thik se chai banana kahin sugar dalna bhool na jao." Nivedita got irritated and decided to teach him a lesson.

Nivedita went into the kitchen and prepared a cup of tea for Viren. Then she mixed 5-6 spoons of sugar in the cup and stirred it very well. She came out with the tea and served it to Viren.

Viren took the cup and took the first sip of the tea. He realized Nivi's prank but he did not said anything and smiled to himself. He glared at Nivi who was smiling and waiting for Viren's complaint about the overdose of sugar in the tea. But Viren drank all the tea and praised Nivi's cooking skills. She was surprised to hear him praising her. She thought "Viren sari chai bina kuch kahe pigaya. Par maine to usse bahut jyada sugar dali thi. Phir usne kuch kyun nahi kaha?" Nivedita was lost in her thoughts when Viren called her. She came out of her thoughts and looked at Viren. Viren said "Nivedita main tumse notes lene aaya tha."

Nivedita went to her room to take her notes and Viren followed her. After taking notes from Nivedita Viren said "Nivedita main tumse kuch poochna chahta hoon. Sab log Youth Ball main kisi na kisi ke sath ja rahe hai. Mujhe kam se kam 100 ladkiyon ke phone aa chuke hai jo mere sath ball main jana chahti hain. Par main unke sath nahi jaana chahta. Kya tum mere sath Ball main meri partner banke chalogi?" Nivedita was shocked to hear his proposal. She thought for few moments and got an idea to make Viren study for the exams. She said "thik hai main tumhare sath Ball main chaloongi. Par main tumhari partner tabhi banoogi jab exams main tumhare 80% above marks aa jayein. Agar bet accept hai to bolo warna un 100 ladkiyon main se kisi ek ko haan keh do."

Viren understood her plan but he accepted the bet and said "Viren Sood kabhi koi bet nahi harta." and left from there smiling. Nivedita thought "Ab Dekhte hain Viren Sood tum ye bet jeet pate ho ya nahi."
