Thank you very much....Pashu is sulking BIG time....

He should be an example to those brothers of him and he needs to stop blaming others for his actions. Coz, he is miserable doesnot mean he has to make other's life miserable too....especially toasty

Thank you for an outstanding update!

You are absolutely right...Pashu had to be shown the mirror...I understand he's lost a lot of life (Malti..education)..but that does'nt give him any right whatsoever to physically abuse or get angry at anyone at random..does he realise that he hurts others' feelings too...they are all human...and by him saying that he used to hit Prachin before, so what happened now - well, earlier it was a kind of a mad-house with only men living the way they wanted to..and now you have a lady in the house, so earn some respect and give it to others as well!

A perfect example of disfunctional family.  Toasty tying to make it functional, Pashu sabotaging it, though unintentionally due to his lack of anger control.  Elders can do no wrong and accept their decisions without questioning.  As if they have monopoly i.e parents over their  children, older siblings over younger siblings.  It is this mentality that makes relationships disfunctional.  Very good serial.  if watching it makes you think then how many can actually  put into practice.

I am not siding with Pashu on hitting Prachin the way he did. Or the fact that he has a short fuse. But the reason for his short fuse is the losses he has had in his life. he is a frustrated man. And the reason he can't tolerate the smallest of changes or issues is because he is immensely distressed about how his life has turned out.. and largely his family is to blame for it. His father's need to have him help with the shop lost him his education. His responsibilities towards his brother and trying to balance a new life with a wife... ended in a failed marriage. If he had done justice to his wife he most likely would have lost out on his family. But doesn't mean that loosing his wife is any less difficult for him. Ya he hates Malti now or so he says but somewhere he loved her deeply in his heart and had dreams of a new life with her that got ruined...another dream that went down the drain...all because his father didn't properly support his new role as a husband...because he was left to drown in the sea of responsibilities without any shoulder for support. Tej's story is different. At least he has some support in the house..he himself knows how to manage his wife's responsibilities and his family. But Pashu lost out on everything. And whats left to him is his brothers. So he is possessive about them and expects them to love him unconditionally no matter how he is with them...because they are family.. he loves them just as unconditionally... so expects that same respect back...and when Prachin suddenly rebels and after him Tej also starts lecturing him...Pashu is bound to be hurt.
Tej is right, Pashu has rarely stopped to think that he could have done something wrong. He is quick to blame others...but thats human nature. However, more recently Pashu had started to think of the mistakes he made with Malti... that hadn't happened before. He had always only blamed Malti for expecting too much out of him and never being satisfied..but never gave a thought to the fact that he never really gave her much to be satisfied with. But thanks to Toasty and Tej he was starting to see it. But when someone forces you to look in the mirror when you are not ready, you are not likely to realize the image in the mirror but rather you'll turn your head away and close your eyes. That is what Pashu is doing now. He will slowly realize the wisdom in Tej's words. Right now he is too emotional to think objectively.

Wonderful update, thank you so much. appreciate greatly. I think Toasty was right, Pashu is upset over the case and Prachin leaving home. Tej's comments no matter how right they are did not hit the right chord with Pashu. Tej could have waited a little to let the things calm down and then taken Pashu into confidence and spoken to him alone. Pashu may not have agreed instantly but would surely have reflected to Tej's words found the truth in it.
This is what happens in real life too. Right things said on wring time creates more damage.

Pashu was wrong in hitting Prachin in front of everyone like that. How convenient is it for him to just blame Toasty like that. Tej was 100% right and no he doesnt need to say sorry!
