Chapter 26
Surbhi, Pushpa,Pari, and Tina were all in Nidhi's room helping her get ready.
Surbhi was wearing a blue, curve hugging lahenga. Pushpa was
wearing a red and black sari, Pari was wearing a green lahenga, with spagetti straps. And Tina was wearing a pink salwar kameez. Surbhi placed the red ghunghat on Nidhi's head.
Tina: hai...lagta hain ke aaj chaand zameen par uthar aya hain.
Nidhi lowered her eyes blushing.
Pari cupped Nidhi's chin and lifted her face.
Pari: Ajay tho aaj ghayal hone wala hain.
Nidhi covered her face with her hands in shyness as everyone laughed.
Pushpa cupped Nidhi's face and softly kissed her forehead.
Pushpa: you look gorgeous beta, kisi ki nazar na lag jaye.
Nidhi smiled: thanks mom.
the ladies stood there a moment admiring...and teasing Nidhi when Surbhi frowned.
Tina: what is it didi?
Surbhi looked at Nidhi up and down.
Surbhi: something's missing...
there was a moment of silence when everyone shouted: choodiyaan!
Surbhi: oh my god i completely forgot...i left the bangles in my bedroom...wait let me go get them.
she quickly rushed out the room and headed to her bedroom.
Surbhi quietly entered her bedroom and saw Abhay standing in front of the mirror. Abhay was
wearing an off white sherwani with a red scarf. god...he looked breathtakingly handsome.
Surbhi felt her heart beat faster as she saw her devestatingly handsome husband fix his red scarf around his neck. after a few seconds a mischivious gleam reflected in Surbhi's eyes...
after all, with Abhay as her husband you learned to be a little naughty.
Abhay looked at his reflection in the mirror when he heard someone whistle from the back.
he turned around and raised an eyebrow when he saw Surbhi whistling, checking him out from top to bottom. Surbhi walked further into the room and stood a few inches away from Abhay.
Surbhi: aaj Nidhi ki shaadi hain ya tumhari?
Abhay decied to play along.
Abhay:it's Nidhi's wedding...but there are going to be a lot of hot girls tonight. I gotta impress them don't I?
Surbhi raised her eyebrows in amusement. she wrapped the ends of Abhay's scraf around her hands and pulled him closer.
Surbhi: eh mr.Abhay...if you so much as look at another girl while i'm around...then i'll rip your eyes out.
Abhay's face broke out into a cocky smile. he took her wrists and made her let go of his scarf.
he then twisted her arms and locked them behind her back, causing her body to touch his.
he leaned in close to her ear and whispered.
Abhay: are you threatening me?
Surbhi whispered back: jo tum samjho.
Abhay couldn't help but love this new, daring side of Surbhi. yeah he loved the caring, shy, innocent Surbhi. but he was having a great time with the daring Surbhi too. he leaned in for a kiss when Surbhi suddenly pulled away. he frowned in confusion.
Surbhi: i completely forgot why i came here!
she rushed to her closet, took out Nidhi's bangles, and rushed towards the door.
Abhay: hey! where's my kiss?
Surbhi: not now Abhay...the guests will arrive soon and i still need to help Nidhi finish getting ready.
Abhay got irritated...like a kid gets irritated when denied a cookie.
Abhay: i want my kiss.
Surbhi: Abhay dont' be such a baby.
Abhay: sochlo...if i don't get my kiss then i'll go to one of those hot girls for one.
Surbhi lowered her lashes, giving Abhay a challenging look.
Surbhi: are you threatening me?
Abhay looked straight into her challenging eyes.
Abhay: jo tum samjho.
Surbhi gave an amused look.
Surbhi: ok...i challenge you...go flirt with as many hot girls as you want, but don't forget that there will be an equal amount of hot guys tonight for me as well.
Abhay: i'm listening...
Surbhi: whoever can't handle the jeolousy first loses the bet.
Abhay: what's the punishment?
Surbhi thought for a bit.
Surbhi:mmm...you decide
Abhay grinned: ok...the loser has to be the winner's slave for a whole day.
Surbhi gave Abhay the 'you must be jokeing' look, but she agreed.
Surbhi: ok deal.
Abhay gave her a cocky look: sochlo Surbhi...tum Abhay ke saat shart lagane ja rahi ho...pachtaogi.
Surbhi turned to walk out the door, but she stopped midway.
Surbhi: kaun pachtate hain aur kaun nahi...yeh tho waqt hi bataye ga.
she walked out with a smile on her face as Abhay looked back at himself in the mirror.
Abhay grinned thinking: tonight's going to be interesting...
