PART 1
A girl was pacing from left to right. She had a frown on her face and was lost in thought.
Nupur was a twenty year old university student doing her B.B.A.
Nupur was standing infront of her university gate waiting for her dad to pick her up and wondering why was he taking that long.
Finally she called her father.
Nupur: " dad. Kahan hain aap?"
Mr. Bushan: " array sorry beta late ho gaya! Mein meeting mein phans gaya tha aur driver to aj aya nahe."
Nupur: " oh.. okay dad you take your time I am waiting."
Mr. Bushan was distracted by a voice Nupur was unable to discern.
Nupur waited for her father to respond. Finally he spoke,
"Nupur beta lo masla he hal ho gaya! I am sending him to pick you."
Nupur: " whom exactly dad?'
Mr. Bushan: " array wohe! Tmen yad he hoga!
Mayank."

Nupur jogged her memory trying to remember the name. Finally it struck her who her father was referring to.
A pageant of memory paraded before Nupur.
She remembered Mayank … Mayank worked for her father three years ago…she vaguely remembered his appearance. He was a tall, dark man, around 6 feet, with jet black hair falling on his forehead. She remembered he was pretty good looking except for the frown he always had on his face.
Now Nupur remembered him completely.
She never was on good terms with him.

three years ago Mayank started working in her father's office and soon her dad was very fond of him. He often came to their house and was a favorite of her mother who was tempted by her mamta to care for that orphan . although he was very reserve but it was obvious he enjoyed the attention and care he got from her house. Even Gunjan was really attached to him. He use to help her with her homework and teach her during her papers so they both developed a great understanding.
Nupur was the only one in the family who had something against him. His way of talking..his way of speaking.. even his way of walking portrayed his arrogance. His family called it his self-respect but Nupur was adamant.
However there were other reasons too. Mayank always looked at her in a strange way which made her feel warm all over. Moreover MAyank had done a favour on her years ago and she felt her ego was hurt by that man and so she was unable to forgive him..or perhaps herself... . three years ago she was out with friends when they planned to go to the night club. She was strictly against the plan but on her friends insistence thought of trying it out.
As expected she hated the crowd and the way girls and boys were dancing and clinging to each other. however the worst part came when a boy started to get over with her. teasing her and constantly trying to come closer. Nupur was frightened and on the verge of tears. She was unable to locate any of her friends and felt as if trapped. That boy had a menacing look on his face that made Nupur wished she was anywhere but there. He was continuously mounting over her and she desperately wanted to flee. However all her attempts to escape were fruitless.
Suddenly out of no where Mayank came and he had such a angered look on his face that the boy actually backed.
Nupur quickly went to hide behind Mayank however that wasn't needed. The boy already knew meddling up with this angered man could prove dangerous and so he left them alone.
Mayank quietly ushered her out of that club and they exited from the door into the cold night. Nupur was too ashamed to even look up and Mayank was too angry to say a word. Finally Nupur pulled herself together and spoke out his name: " Mayank…."
