Rajat started his acting career at doordarshan in the show named Jadui Chiraag,Rahul. From there sagar production house chose his to play Tatya the younger bro of Saibaba. There they found a spark in him which provoked them to take him to play child prithviraj chauhan. And this was the show which saw the rising of a new hero. There people loved him so much that his role extended for 1.5 years from 5 episode role. He got a lot of best child actor awards for it. But its ITA which gave him the best actor award in 2007 for his role as PRC.After PRC he came in another sagar's periodical show on January 2008. That show ended in December 2008. After that he decided to do films. At the starting of this year he signed a movie 'Bappida Tussi Great Ho'. On May he came back to television again through Keshav Pandit. Though his role was there for one episode but in this one episode he proved again how much brilliant actor he is. And again he came back as Robindo in Tere Liye as a parallal lead.
