Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor born on February 25, 1981 in Mumbai, India is a Bollywood actor and model.Born to actor Pankaj Kapoor and actress/classical dancer Neelima Azeem, Kapoor's parents divorced when he was three. After the divorce of his parents, he usually lived with his mother whilst he also shared a good relationship with his father and stepmother Supriya Pathak. Kapoor, who is a vegetarian, also has a sister named Sana and a brother named Ishaan Kapoor; his brother acted with him in the movie Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi (2005). His maternal grandfather was Anwar Azeem, a noted Marxist journalist and author from Bihar.

In 2004, Kapoor began dating actress Kareena Kapoor, who he separated with three years later. According to him, they remained on good terms, with him saying, "I wish her [Kareena] all the happiness in the world. I have great respect for her. She's a wonderful girl."

Starting off his career by working in music videos and ads, Kapoor made his Bollywood debut as a background dancer in Subhash Ghai's Taal (1999). After four years, he made his debut as a leading actor in Ishq Vishk (2003) and won a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance. Following through with critically acclaimed performances in films like Fida (2004) and Shikhar (2005), he had his first commercial success with Sooraj R. Barjatya's Vivah (2006), his biggest commercial success so far, and later continued it with Jab We Met (2007). Since then, he has established himself as one of the most promising actors of the industry.*

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra was born at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand state of India. Her father Dr. Ashok Chopra was a surgeon in army. Priyanka Chopra was in Jai Hind College at Mumbai when she won Femina Miss India contest in 2000. She was crowned Miss World in 2000 at London. Priyanka Chopra is the fifth Indian to be crowned Miss World. She left her studies midway after winning the beauty pageant and joined film Industry.

Priyanka Chopra first acted in Tamil film "Thamizhan ". Her debut Hindi film was "The Hero" opposite Sunny Deol. Though the film was average rated, it went on to become one of the highest grossing films of that year. Priyanka Chopra's next film was "Andaaj" opposite Akshay Kumar. "Andaaj" was a successful film at box office and Priyanka was nominated for Filmfare Best Actress Award. Her next release was "Aitraaz", which is a Hindi remake of the Demi Moore-starker "Disclosure". Prianka won the Filmfare Best Villain Award for her performance in "Aitraaz". Since then she has given many Hit films such as "Bluffmaster" opposite Abhishek Bachchan, "Mujhse Shadi Karogi" opposite Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan and "Krissh" opposite Hrithik Roshan. Priyanka Chopra was voted Sexiest Asian Woman of 2006 in Eastern Eye, an Asian newspaper published in Britain.

overview:

Everything is about to change for Charlie and Guddu. In one day. A day of reckoning. An unusual day, just right for the unusual events that unfold in its course.

Guddu and Charlie are brothers, born and raised in Dharavi, the world's largest slum dwelling in the heart of the megalopolis, Mumbai. They also happen to be identical twins, in early twenties, hoping to leave the squalor behind and move into a life of prosperity and dignity. But the similarity ends here.

Guddu (Shahid Kapoor) works as a trainee in a small NGO firm in the city. He hopes to climb up to the top of the corporate ladder. He wants to be a bona fide member of the burgeoning Indian middle class. His career has only just begun though and the road to bourgeoisie is both long and arduous. Yet Guddu is at it. He is honest, diligent and careful.

Charlie (Shahid Kapoor) makes a living hedging bets at the race course. He moves around the plush hordes of the rich and famous at the races. For him this is just a way to make quick money and he dreams of becoming a legitimate bookie one day. Charlie is street smart, wily and brave and lives only for himself.

The brothers don't like each other. They believe they have nothing in common, not even their speech defect. While Guddu stammers, especially when he is nervous, Charlie has a lisp. They have built their lives so that their paths don't ever cross. They believe it's only a question of time before they are out of each other's sight forever.

Charlie is having a bad day at the office. He has practically bet everything he possesses on a coveted derby race. But at the last minute, he is double crossed as the race is fixed in their opponent's favour. He hunts down the jockey and plans to get even when the rival goons burst in. In the ensuing melee, Charlie and his friends take off with a getaway car, not knowing that the car belongs to a ruthless pair of cops, Lobo and Lele, who run drugs for the beach lord, Tashi. Soon enough, Charlie discovers a stash of coke in the boot of the car. All hell now breaks loose as the cops and the drug mafia are on his case. Charlie has to survive by his wits alone.

Guddu is performing a street theatre act when his newfound girlfriend, Sweety Bhope (Priyanka Chopra) appears on the scene, distraught and announces that she is pregnant. Guddu is shocked at first but realizes quickly that there is no real problem. They can get married right away!

But they can't. There is a real problem. Sweety reveals her secret. Her brother is Sunil 'chopper' Bhope (Amol Gupte), a gangster with political ambitions and a ridiculously dangerous man. And he already knows. Sweety informs Guddu that as they speak, her brother's men are out for his blood.

The story unfolds as the day progresses. Intercut between the parallel stories of the brothers as they run to protect themselves, their dreams and their love. Until a point where it converges and the brothers meet to realize that they only have each other.

It is only through trust in each other that they can get out of the mess that they haven't created. They uncover a deadly political-police-underworld nexus. They discover virtues within themselves they thought didn't exist. And most important of all, they find each other.

SRK, Priyanka Chopra And Shahid Kapoor Dance In Durban

January 6, 2011: Bollywood biggies Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor will be seen in the South African city of Durban, this weekend, matching steps to some of their Hindi film numbers to commemorate 150 years of alliance between countries India and South Africa. But it is not only Bollywood that will celebrate the auspicious occasion this Sunday. To be present in Durban along with Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor are some well known faces from the world of cricket and famous artistes from South Africa.

The beginning of the 150 years of the India ? South Africa relationship can be traced back to 1860, when the Indian laborers first set foot on South African soil to work in sugarcane plantations across the country. In a statement to the media, Sabbas Joseph, the director of Wizcraft International Entertainment, which is one of the sponsors of the event, said that the ties between India and South Africa are very strong not only historically but also in modern times. Wizcraft stresses that he has played an important role in acquainting the South African people to the Indian entertainment world. It is to be remembered that two editions of IIFA film awards were held in South Africa, a venture by Wizcraft International Entertainment.

While SRK, Piggy Chops and Shahid will be the star attractions of the event, the organizers have also planned to felicitate cricket stalwarts Sachin Tendulkar and Makhaya Ntini, both representatives of the Indian and South African cricket worlds respectively, at the event. Actor Anil Kapoor will be the host for the evening which will see performances by South African musicians like Drum Caf, Locnville and Liquideep.

Shahid-Priyanka the perfect 'match'

Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor were spotted together in Durban, South Africa enjoying a T-20 match between India and South Africa. The couple have been seen together quite often lately irrespective of continuous denials about their relationship.

From the duo's body language as reflected in

the pictures taken on the day of the match, sparks are clearly visible. After the sensual Priyanka-Shahid

chemistry seen between them in Kaminey, rumours of them dating have been alive for a very long time now.

Sasha and Piggy Chops also performed at a concert to mark the 150th occasion of Indians coming to South Africa. Apparently, there was a rift between SRK and Shahid, but Priyanka came to their rescue and helped them patch-up.

Bonding beween them was quite evident in Koffee with Karan as well. Karan Johar had called them on his show giving them an opportunity to sort out their differences. The lovebirds looked very comfortable in each other's company on the chat show.
