Why didnt Dutta meet Nakusha's eye?

there is something that has been troubling me...today when Naku told him to wear the pendant....Dutta talked to her without meeting her eye...he said that she is here because she has done him a favor by saving his life etc...
Why didnt he meet her eye?

Because he doesnt mean what he says...

so does that mean he remembers what happened last night? if yes, then is he using alcohol as an excuse to come closer to her?If that is also a yes, then what is making him do it? Why cant he talk to her when he is sober?

You know there is another thought that is plaguing me here...I posted the same thought on another thread, that he is so ashamed of his physical abuse of Naku, that he is not able to look her in the eye...but what if he is doing all this on purpose, to get Naku to go away from his life of murder and mayhem? What if he loves her so much that he wants her to run away from him, so that she is safe. She took a bullet by risking her life, Dutta's every step is risk ridden..what if he is doing this just to protect her under the garb of "deceit"?

He is repeating the same harsh words again and again in his sane condition as he does not want to believe he loves her...

He loves her...he knows it...but wont admit it. So he is using alcohol as an excuse that he has forgotten everything. Thats why he was very harsh to her the next morning.

@droopy_asleep yeah I agree with you, had the same thoughts, but someone told me thats not Dutta style.......

I totally agree with u. Its a very good thought Ya. Becoz his conversation, body language and the way he called her Manhoose I think he is just acting to save her from the future bullets. Coz sterday he told that she is not happy n not alright. He definitely knows that she gives her life for Dutta if he is in danger. He cannot see her in pain or shedding bood. If we observe in the previous episodes when he drunk he could able to recollect everything but this time pretending not to remember the previous night n he is doing purposefully. steday even in Nasha status he was perfect he was not rude usually he wiil not be. N when he woke up he is rude. So he is sacrifising his love for Naku's life n security. Not only Naku can go to extreams to save her Sab but also this Donkey sab also go any extream to save his love but driving her away from his life for ever. Just imagine how much pain he is undergoing with?
