Sandhya breaks her fast before the auspicious moment
All the women are standing outside the door, Sandhya among them, and all holding pots of water w/ which to break the fast once the moon is spotted. They joke about how the moon is like their hubbies in irritating them 😆 One of the women remark on how thirsty they are, but how they can't break their fast until the moment arrives. Another asks her whether she can't bear it a bit more for her beloved hubby.
Sandhya gets an idea, picks up a glass (unlike the copper pots everyone else is using) of water, sips it and gives the moon god her challenge. She tells him that she broke the vrath before the chosen moment, and so he should do whatever ill-fated things can be done w/ her hubby 😆😈 If he can torment his wife, then let this violation of all the puja conventions be the cause of his destruction 😈😆 Gayatri watches her in disbelief 😕
Jagirdars observe Karva Chauth
At the rooftop of their place, Pankaj, Sarla & Prabha are waiting for the moon, and Sarla notes it once it's out. Pankaj asks Prabha if she's worried b'cos Dada sahib ain't there, and Prabha notes that it's the first time ever. His morals seem to be more important to him than his wife & family. While she's okay w/ what's happening to her, she's angry w/ Sandhya for what's happening to Yuvraj - had she not done all that, this would have been her first Karva Chauth, and that too, she'd be taking water from Yuvraj @ this very moment 🤢 (Prabha, if only you knew what your dear bahurani was doing this very moment 😈) But she's reduced Yuvraj to all this.
Pankaj tells her not to worry, and they are there w/ Yuvraj. He asks her to break her fast looking @ the moon. Pankaj & Sarla then follow the ritual, and so does Prabha. While she does it, Puru appears in front of her, surprising her. DK comes up to her and asks her whether it was possible for Puru to stay away from her? (Nice thought DK - now, if only you had the same consideration for your own Sunita) She's about to ask Puru, but he instantly tells her that he's not there to give her company in her deeds, but rather just to fulfill the duties of a hubby. So they do the rest of the rituals. After the wives touch their hubbies' feet, Puru tells Prabha that she's not the one who needs blessings, Sandhya is. Prabha looks @ him pissed 😆
Karva Chauth @ Gayatris
Gayatri Devi's guests are following the same rituals. Gayatri is doing it as well, but her hubby's not w/ her. In the meantime, Sandhya is staring in a very hostile manner @ the moon (if looks could kill, Chandra mama would be dead 😆) She thinks to him that she's broken the vrath b4 he arrived, and so now it's his job to deal w/ Yuvraj 😈😆 She didn't enjoy any of the joys of a married woman, but she'd fulfill the duties of a woman and a daughter. She then vows to the maker that she'd destroy the family that did her world so much of damage 👏
Manik then comes to Gayatri, and tells her to go to the hospital to break her fast. She asks him to ktake care of everyone @ the party, & particularly Sandhya.
Shreya, Savita confront Jagirdars
Prabhavati asks DK to get ready to go, and they all converge, and are about to leave, when they stop dead in their tracks due to Shreya & Savita marching into the suite. They are scared to see them, but Prabha asks them how they dared enter that place? Savita asks them that when they (the Jagirdars) can display their power, why can't the sisters display their courage? Prabha asks them to get out of the way, since they're getting delayed, but Savita says that they're not getting delayed, but lost in total darkness of what they've managed so far.
Savita tells them that to salvage their son, they've fallen this low, and that by making their lives miserable, they think they can pull this off? Shreya now joins in, and aggressively asks them whether they thought the sisters would cower b4 them? She tells them that nobody can break the bonds b/w the sisters, be it their love or their unity, b'cos unlike the Jagirdars, they're tied not by sin, but by blood - they have a Rakt Sambandh (hence the name of the serial, we now know 👏) Regardless of wherever Sandhya is, they'll never abandon her, and as far as Yuvraj goes, they can watch, but he'll definitely get his just deserts. Savita adds that they are their in-laws and it's normally customary to respect them, but those who forget their humanity can't be expected to be recipients of honor.
DK now joins in and tells them that they're all talk - whether it's here, or that day @ the hospital w/ Sakshi. But today they were so bold as to come to their place? He tells them he'll see how long these bhashans and mannerisms last. He'll see when they have no roofs over their heads nor money to buy food (Brilliant, DK, to threaten them so brazenly!!!) He'll then see how long the rakt sambandh unity lasts.
Savita asks him who is he to try and deprive other people of their homes & livelihoods? She tells him to pay attention to his land, since once the day arrives that his nephew is hanged, the ground wont be their either under his feet nor theirs 👏
Prabha asks her to shut up, and get lost, and calls security. Two security men arrive, and Savita warns them against touching her. Savita then tells Prabha that one case has brought them to this state, and another would make them cry, She's here to tell them that rather than focus on them, they should look @ their own future, since a great calamity is about to befall them. Savita & Shreya then leave.
Puru then steps up and demands an explanation on why they're trying to snatch their homes (hey, you just heard DK) Prabha tells him that she's willing to do anything for her son. Puru says that he too wants to save Yuvraj, but not by threatening them. Pankaj asks how else are they to do it, and that this was necessary so that they take their case back. Puru asks him whether he thinks they'll do that given how Savita & Shreya came in? He tells them that they've just strengthened their resolve, and that he's told them many times to fear God (even if he himself no longer believes in him 😆) and that the consequences will visit them one day. He turns around and finds them all gone. 😲
Gayatri explains her decisions to Sandhya
Gayatri tells Sandhya that they just returned yesterday & had so many guests that she couldn't tell her anything earlier. She tells Sandhya that her own hubby was in hospital the last 3 years in a coma, and some friends suggested it to her, so she's been doing it for 3 years in the hopes that her hubby would regain consciousness (Methinks that might happen the day his daughter gets justice by Yuvraj being sentenced)
Sandhya gets up & tells her that she wants to take revenge on Yuvraj & his entire family. If she accepts Gayatri's theory that they'd wiggle out of Neeraj's & her dad's murder cases, they'd even wiggle out of her own murder case. Gayatri tells her that she's right. Sandhya then asks whether out of fear that they'd get out of every case, she'd not even dare oppose them? She tells Gayatri that she'll expose every crime of theirs to the world. She'd herself testify against them in court.
Gayatri tells her that she won't be able to do a thing against them. So much is happening in front of her, and she still doesn't understand? She tells her that the other day, had they not rescued Savita's kids, the very next day they'd have withdrawn it to save the kids - and anyone else would have done the same in her place, since it's more important to save the living than do justice to the dead (actually, Savita was not exactly ready to drop it, and given the exchange w/ the Jagirdars, it could have gone either way) She explains to Sandhya that she doesn't want her to make the same mistakes she made 3 years ago. For that, Sandhya would have to go according to Gayatri's plan - the Jagirdars would have to be responded to in their own coin.
Sandhya then asks her what she wants, and Gayatri tells her that from today onwards, she'd do nothing that Sandhya would do. Since she's gotten back her eyesight, that's proof that HIS blessings are w/ her. From now on, she's no longer the helpless, blind & poor Sandhya - she's Vrinda, who's totally different from Sandhya. She then silently explains her plan to her, and leads her to another room.
Puru confronts Yuvraj on Neeraj
Yuvraj is telling the Jagirdars - all there except Puru - that he knew his father would come. He regrets raising his hands to hit him, but he thinks his dad would forgive him. Pankaj disagrees, and tells Yuvraj that since returning, his father has not spoken to any of them, and even refused to come here w/ them (well, what do you expect, Pankaj, when you all leave the room while he's talking to you?)
Yuvraj's dad arrives @ the room, and tells them that he's been told by the constable that only 5 minutes are left in which Yuvraj is allowed to receive visitors, and tells them that he wants to talk to Yuvraj alone. They all leave the room on his request.
Yuvraj tells him that he wants to apologize for the other day, but Puru tells him he doesn't want to talk about it at all. He also tells him to note that he didn't come for any of them, and nor is he there to participate in any of their schemes. He had certain duties to them as Purushottam Jagirdar, and just came there for that. Yuvraj is stunned, as Puru continues. He'll do what he understands as his duty, and tells him to expect only that of him. He came there for the Karva Chauth and this is a part of that.
Puru then asks Yuvraj whether he's told him the whole truth and that they just had an accident in the car w/ Sandhya? Yuvraj asks him whether he doens't believe him, and Puru tells him that he also doesn't believe that Neeraj would leave Sandhya in the middle of the road and flee somewhere else - Neeraj is not like that. He tells him that they must have got Neeraj as well, and asks where he is? Yuvraj tries to dodge, but Puru tells him that their family has a responsibility to Neeraj - after his parents had died, Puru & his father had both promised Neeraj that they'd take care of him. So where is Neeraj?
The constable then intervenes to tell him that the meeting time is over. Puru tells Yuvraj that he'll be back tomorrow and he wants the truth, and if Yuvraj wants his silence on past matters, he'll have to let him know the truth. Or else, he'll go against his son & family.
Puru leaves, and Yuvraj throws another tantrum, throwing the side table beside him away, and crying that in addition to Sandhya's sisters, Inspector Bhosle, his father is plotting his destruction.
Pankaj runs into Vrinda
Pankaj is in the street chatting w/ someone on the phone, saying that they've been doing everything, including using threats, but haven't gotten anywhere. There is a complaint against them @ the police station, and if they do the suggested moves, those who are out will end in 😆
While talking, Pankaj bumps into a girl who's dressed like a Valley girl - shirt over (swimsuit? 😆) and apologizes to her. He's however startled by her appearance, since it's Vrinda - Sandhya's new guise - cut hair, totally different clothes, etc. While Pankaj looks @ her intensely, Vrinda gives him a really dirty look, and in the rudest & most hostile tone, tells him Hey 'Uncle', what's this sorry, can't you see where you're going? And w/ a sarcastic tone she walks away, hails an auto and leaves. She then gets into an auto and sits like a gang member, and leaves, leaving Pankaj looking shocked @ her resemblence to Sandhya and wondering whether it's her?

I liked how Sandhya concluded her vrath - having the water b4 the auspicious moment. Too bad she didn't know about it earlier, or else, she could have broken the fast. When Gayatri confronted her later, she could have told her that she did everything inauspicious so that Yuvraj would be destroyed. Let's hope these apshakuns work. It was funny to hear Prabhavati think that Sandhya would have done something similar w/ Yuvraj.
Speaking of the Jagirdars, I was disappointed that Purushottam was present for the Karva Chauth after all, although he did manage to dampen Prabhavati's mood. Felt sorry that Suni chachi, who wanted it, was missing out, although DK seems to be more of an atheist than Purushottam is.
Shreya & Savita confronting the Jagirdars was fantastic, although I wonder why it was just the 2 of them? But it was smart - previously, if they had the idea that the only brains were Sakshi & Savita, this time it was Shreya as well. And they already know Sandhya, so the only one left is Shradhya to read them a riot act. And why no mention of the kidnapping of Savita's kids? Here, there is no deniability, since the demand for returning them was very specifically that the case against Yuvraj be dropped. But I liked Shreya spelling out the Rakt Sambandh b/w them. 👏
Gayatri made a good explanation to Sandhya about how the case of her murder would have been dropped to salvage the kids, had they stayed kidnapped, since one would always save the living over doing justice to the dead. They did a good job showing her explaining to Sandhya what she had to do, leaving the mystery interesting indeed.
I liked Vrinda's profile - a street gal w/ attitude!!! Absolutely reminded me of Rachel Leigh Cook in the TV commercial 'This is your brain on drugs'. As someone noted, this Sandhya-Vrinda contrast is almost like Sudha-Devika in Jyoti, except that Sandhya is not suffering from any illness, but is in total control of what she's doing.
Pankaj accidentally bumped into her, and she gave him such an attutude that despite her looking like Sandhya, Pankaj was left wondering, due to the total transformation. Only one thing - if Vrinda is in Pune and Yuvraj in a jail in Mumbai, what is Pankaj doing in Pune that Vrinda bumps into him? Looked like a blooper to me.
