Concept and Story

"PAPAD POL ….Shahbuddin Rathod Ki Rangeen Duniya" is a show based on the story of the imaginary world of characters created by renowned writer Shahbuddin Rathod.

Shahbuddin Rathod is a well renowned name in the entertainment fraternity. Internationally he has travelled around the world and is passionate about his talent of bringing a smile to peoples' lives through his stories and funny anecdotes about these set of characters through live stage shows and recorded cassettes for the last 40 years. Needless to say, he commands great respect and adulation from the world over. He is different from other humorists in a sense that apart from narrating his stories in the most hilarious and gripping manner, he has shared his wisdom in the form of inspirational life stories, spiritual quotations and philosophies. He has also written various books that have continued to tickle the funny bone of the nation and the world for nearly half a century.

Our show "Papad Pol…Shahbuddin Rathod Ki Rangeen Duniya" is based on these characters visualized by this legendary orator. SAB has attempted to create the dramatized presentation of his vision and the wonderful and intriguing characters. His characters are a very simple, relatable middle class people living together in a POL (Moholla). Their honesty, unique outlook, simplicity, interesting quirks and loving nature will surely capture the viewers' imagination.

The story is about a guy named Vinaychand who has a heart of gold but he has a dark look and this is the reason he is not getting married. V have Kokila who looks like a Princess and has kept rejecting boys. Destiny makes Vinay rishta reach Kokila house there is some misunderstanding with regards to boy picture. Kokila refuses to marry Vinay but they become very good frds. Later Kokila marriage gets fixed with Vikram a rich NRI but he tels Kokila to say no for marriage as he loves someone else and has no courage to say it to his mom. Kokila family gets humiliated by Vikram mother wen she refuses to get engaged to him on day of engagement. Not able to take her father insult she steps in and reveals how it was Vikram who didn't wanted to get engaged and standa for her family respect.

There is competition in Amiri Pol in which all poll have to participate. Last yr Papad Pol made a fool of demself dere n don't want to participate in it but Kokila encourages dem to. Amiri Poll which is a known poll and has been winning this competition since 4 yrs. Jayshree from Amiri poll who has been winning this competition does everything to make sure things go worse for papad pol ppl but even after all d hurdles papad pol manages to win applaud for all their performances.

When Kokila chance comes to perform in Radha-Krishna act the guy who plays Krishna has to go since d other gang makes a fake cal of her mother having an accident and when in d middle of d act it seems again papad pol wud make a fool of demself Vinay comes and towards d end of d performance Kokila realizes her feelings for Vinay.

Papad poll wins all d prizes and wen Kokila gets 1st prize it is ? on what bases did she participated as she is not from papad poll what rishta does she has from papad poll and any house. Kokila looks at Vinay rem all her moments wid him den she walks upto Vinay mother and asks if she wud accept her as her son partner. It was one of the best epiosde of Papad Poll indeed :)

The track currently focuses on d leads marriage as d priest said if dey don't marry on that particular day they can't marry for next 5 yrs. At every step dere is something or d other happening wrong in d marriage process.
