Poem
The Sea
I stand on the beach watching the waves storm the coast
I watch helplessly as they hit the rocks and boast
And yet despite their courage they are forced to retreat
But they always keep on trying-and isn't that sweet?
From calm waters to the highest tide,
Be like the waves, always by my side
They sweep the shore and return to the ocean
But they never compromise on their fiery emotion
Somewhere out there, thousands of shipwrecks drift
Ancient memories of an era long gone by
Their majesty might be tattered by now
But they still stand proud, refusing to be shy
In the same way, our fights are still their in our memories
Jewels of that horrendous time when all we had was hate
But we still stand together, broken but happy
For we always believed it was never too late.
