Am missing nandinidev's updates here in IF… it used to be so much fun reading it.. and no updates since shez out of town? Ok let me try my bit. Just a short update.
Stunt number 22
The stunt : a team stunt of strength and speed.. where one partner goes up, hung head down, from a copter over the water body and has to hold the other one – again head down – using a rope tied to the second ones leg. The first one should hold, twist or adjust the position of the belt attached to the second ones legs so that the second partner can touch as many poles standing out of the lake as the copter flies by over them. Once the last post is crossed, the first one lets go the second partner who'd then drop to the lake, swim and get to the flag on the shore.
Ritwik – they had a clear edge in this stunt as ritwik had very good upper arm control as an experienced squash player and avni is a swimmer by profession. And as expected, they did manage to get the most number of poles (no less than 6) and secured themselves the safty band for the show.
Dino– madhurima was still sore from her previous stunt with ice I suppose, but a great job again –and voila - another safty band
Milind, abhishek – nothing much… just okie wokie
Shabbir – he dropped his partner too close to the pole that the straps at her ankle got entangled with the the last pole – how sad! But not a bad job still…
Manjot – wow, they planned it ulta – andressa went up first holding manjot… but didn't work out… she dropped him even before he could touch the first pole.
Rahol bose – the strategist – planned a 6 step strategy about how to go around with the stunt… but again, a bad day – not all ideas turn real hun!!… he was a disappointment – with not a single pole touched.
Stunt number 23
The stunt : again a team stunt – one partner goes into a tank where a number of goats tongues and eyes are to be placed over his/her body. Some 400 rats are tossed into the tank over the first partner. And the second partner has to get 5 tongues and five eyes out in least possible time – there's a twist, it has to be done not with the hands – but with his/her mouth (yuck!!!) and these rats!! They bite – pc called them by some name – brazilian devil rats?? Was it tht??
Ritwik and dino were safe, thanks to the safety band
Manjot: they went in first and for once it looked like that was a disadvantage. He had collected more than what was required but didn't bother to count them until later. They lost some time unnecessarily coz of that. The participants who followed got a clue from this, and all were seen counting the tongues and eyes after each pick.
Rahul : he went inside the tank and took the rat bites while annie did the stunt. And it really looked like a bad day for rahul and super annie… they couldn't get the said number of things before the horn blew.
Abhishek : another male partner who went in while the female partner performed. They did pretty much ok. Thts it.
Milind and Shabbir: they did ok too collecting passable number of tongues and eyes..
(But me didn't particularly like this stunt… why cant they do away with such filthy stunts?? )
Evidently, rahul bose had to leave the show for his poor performance on both the stunts.
