Reality show singers at an Advantage?

So I thought about opening up a topic for discussion. As you all already know millions of people line up for auditions whether it be for SRGMP, Indian Idol, or any other singing reality show. Out of those millions of people only a few are selected to go further in the competition. Do these singers that make it to the top 18 or top 12 necessarily have an advantage over those singers that didn't make it to the show because of a few mistakes in their auditions? Does that make them any less of a singer because they didn't make it on the singing platform to showcase their talent? Millions of people (singers) wait for the opportunity to be on a musical reality show, so that not only can they showcase their talent, but also be under the guidance of well known music directors/singers who help them to polish their voice. But what about those that due to lack of preparation or due to a bad audition aren't able to make it that far but still have so much potential in their voice. Are they at a disadvantage? They can still show case their talent by posting videos on youtube, forums, social networks, etc. Also by doing shows in their area and participating at national levels in their state and/or country. They may not have the opportunity to work with a music director, like the contestants do. But does that necessarily put them at a disadvantage?

😊 Arey Rani fikar not.......Just because you didn't make Sa Re Ga Ma this season, it doesn't put you at a disadvantage.............there are many singers in Bollywood who haven't worked with a music director in ages as well............... Mika Singh, Aditya Narayan, etc..........😊
