Too much of anything can make you sick
Even the good can be a curse
Makes it hard to know which road to go down
Knowing too much can get you hurt.
How true are these lines for Riddhima right now? There's too much of everything in her life right now, too much love, too many memories, too many feelings, too much everything. And its getting too much for her too handle, its too heavy a burden to carry. Its making it hard for her to differentiate between the good and the bad, the right and the wrong, and which road to go down, the lines are getting blurred.
Is it better? Is it worse?
Are we sitting in reverse
It's just like we're going backwards.
I know where I want this to go
Driving fast but lets go slow
What I don't wanna do is crash nooo.
Everything seems to be passing her by in a blur, and all she can do is catch her breath and try and hold on. She's trying so hard, so desperately hard, not to crash, not to go back to the cold, broken shell she was before she met Siddhant. But the past seems determined to overpower her, and what she needs is that one hand which she clutches on to every time she's in distress, that one embrace which shields her against all the cold, all the hurt, all the pain in the world. She needs Siddhant, and the sanity, the warmth, the comfort, the security, the love, he showers her with, which is her shield against all the agony in the world. You could see the desperation in her eyes yesterday, when she falls at his feet and clings to his collar-when he tells her that he loves her, that no matter what he will always love her. She hung on to those words like they were her lifeline, the only things that could make her hold on in the storm she's trapped in.
Just know you're not in this thing
alone
There's always a place in me that you can call home
Whenever you feel like we're growing apart
Let's just go back, back, back, back, back to the start.
And how true are these lines for Sid's love for her ? No matter what, he's always been there for her. He's the one she runs to when she's in distress, he's her safe harbor, the one who takes away all her pain. He's her home. And whenever a storm has threatened to destroy them, he's always held her hand till she found her way back to him.
Now everyday ain't gonna be no picnic
Love ain't a walk in the park
All you can do is make the best of it now
Can't be afraid of the dark.
And that's so true for Siddhima-their story hasn't been a walk in the park-they were born out of the ashes of grief, hurt, and all the pain in the world. Whenever darkness has engulfed them, they've held on to each other, been each other's comfort and warmth, till the light found its way to them again.
Anything that's worth having
Is sure enough worth fighting for
Quitting's out of the question
When it gets tough, gotta fight some more.
And yeah, they know that they're lucky to have found each other, as Riddhima says, Siddhant is the blessing that God showered on her. What they have is certainly worth fighting for-because what they have is a bond based on faith, respect, trust, friendship and love. And they'll fight for it, like they have so many times, and they'll come out stronger and wiser, like so many times before.
