Anyways, forget the personal life. Lets talk about singing only. I do not like his or his brother's singing. As far as SRGM mgmt roping in him as a judge - well, HR naheen hai toh nautanki key liye koi toh chahiye na. Dekhtey jao kaisee balle balle ker key nautanki kareyga aagey aagey.
Seriously, I realize this is an appreciation thread and hence my question --- WHAT EXACTLY IS THERE TO APPRECIATE?
Just because he happens to be from the same region as thread starter does not make him a grand singer. If reality is so hard to digest then folks should not be visiting the forums.
Ramas: If a thread is ONLY for praises then should it not be in fan club section? Dink me for speaking out the truth in a fan club but this is SRGMP section. We are used to discussing both pros and cons in all participants and judges. You can not stiffle free discussion where one party is NOT resorting to name calling. Dissect all my posts in this thread and point out a single instance of name calling. You can not dink me for calling a spade a spade.
An appeal to all: Please do not turn this section in to diabetic fan clubs. Go to fan clubs and praise your favs as much as you want there and leave us thinking, analyzing people in place to do some analysis of the show here.

Where did I drag in his personal life? he comes across shallow as a judge too. Why can't I discuss what he comes across as and my views on his singing here? Last I knew, this is NOT a fan club.
He is a guru selected by saregama regardless.
You and I both know why he is selected as a guru - solely for the nautanki quotient. We have seen the jhalaks by now too. Going by your rationale, we should just wrap this section up as every one on the show is selected by srgmp mgmt and we should not be discussing them or questioning their credibility.
Let us abide by forum rules and not discuss his personal life here. You may not appreciate him but that does not mean others think same way about him.
Going by the same token - others may appreciate him but that does not mean I think the same way.
Thanks.

Rama,
With all due respect, would you mind telling me where did my post break the COC? I know you are dealing with some nasty elements here but that does not mean you start bending backwards and stiffle healthy discussions.
Fanatic fans are more than welcome to hang out at fanclub sections. Why should we pay the price for others' immaturity when it comes to civil rational discussion?

tabhi kehtee hoon daler jaisey logo ko apna role model banaanaa band karo. Delho toh kaisee language use ker rahey ho😆
Nobody is forcing you to listen to his music or like him, you can discuss your views with your family and not here. You have no right to insult and bash him in this thread.😡
look above and see for yourself who is being abusive. FYI - I have every right to discuss my views here in this section. This is why we come here. If you want to show your blind appreciation to anyone, please go to the fan clubs. This particular section is for "DISCUSSION" not "DEVOTION".
By the way, you have been reported because its against the rules of this section as described by ramas ji yesterday.
JaspalTronto knows COC - now that's another oxymoron going by the name calling and loud font above😆
Last I checked, I did not break any COC. I did not call any names and my post was not derogatory. Ab sach bhi naheen bol saktey kya😆

How do you know Gauri is a beggar? She must have seen Daler Mehndi on television, heard him talk and sing and may have read about him, and that may have prompted her to say what she said. So, there's a basis. What's your basis?

Nobody is forcing you to read her post either. Your opening this thread doesn't entitle you to dictate everything that happens here. But everyone is entitled to express their opinion wherever they want.
What the hell are we here for if we cannot criticize or express our negative feeling about someone or something relevant, along with praise and appreciation? When a person is a judge, their character and past are also relevant, because there's a question of integrity. There's a big difference between one's opinion or criticism about a person and bashing them. If she used swear words or was overaggressive like you, it'd be insulting or bashing.

By the way, what makes Daler Mehndi so sacrosanct that it's almost blasphemous to criticize him?
By the way, you have been reported because its against the rules of this section as described by ramas ji yesterday.
Why do I feel more people will, rather, be inclined to report your tasteless aggression?

Gauri3,
You must be biased aganist Daler because you brought in his region and accused the person who started the thread of being biased.
I think Daler is a very talented singer, I was not his fan but after watching him on Saregamapa, I have become his fan. He is very talented as a classical singer and is respectful of contestant.
I wouldn't me watching this show if Daler was not the judge. I have seen Shekher and Vishal many many times their style has become stale and any judges from the old group would have not motivated enough to watch the program.
You have to listen with open mind without bias you will find lot to like and appreciate his talent (your bringing in region of poster, clearly states your biases). Also Mika is not in this show don't bring him, he is human being in his own right, no need to lump all family together. You should show respect for viewer l ike myself who are enjoying his style of judgement and talent. After reading your post i have a feeling that you are one of the people who hate people based on their region or religion. BTW, Amitabh Bachanan mom was from Sikh family, the fact that many Indians don't know.

I am definitely not biased against Punjabies and/or Sardars --- if this is what you are alluding to. No delhite could ever be. I like his genre of singing but not his singing.

And I respecet your views and likes. There got to be some chahney waley. Tabhi bikta hai woh.

Why can't you extend the same courtsey to me that I am extending to his fans? I have no problems with y'all liking Daler but that does not mean I can't speak my mind.
(your bringing in region of poster, clearly states your biases). Also Mika is not in this show don't bring him, he is human being in his own right, no need to lump all family together. At least you wouldn't abuse people like myself who are enjoying his style of judgement and talent. After reading your post i have a feeling that you are one of the people who hate people based on their region or religion. BTW, Amitabh Bachanan mom was from Sikh family, the fact that many Indians don't know.
Why are you dragging Big B here? Last I knew, he is neither a judge nor a participant and puhleeezzzz...at least leave his dead mother out of this discussion. Show some respect to the dead - especially the dead who have nothing to do with the show under discussion!!!
Anyways, go back and review the topic starter's reaction to my post without any biases on your side. You will get your answers.

I repeat once again - I do not like Daler's singing and his judging. It has nothing to do with his region. But I know many here can't get above and beyond regionalism and hence take every single thing personally. I hope they get over the petty regional/religous mentality and stop taking the negatives pointed out in contestants and judges personally - because there will be many going forward.

See, I absolutely adore VS and their style. I can never get tired of watching these two and Shankar Mahadevan on any show. But I am not forcing you to do the same - get the gist!
Stop forcing me to like Daler. It's NOT happening. And stop deluding yourself into thinking that I don't like Daler because I do not like the region he comes from or his religion. Why is it so hard for some to get that I do not like Daler the "singer" because I even cringe when I have to call him a singer - this is how bad his singing is.
So, please stop justifying my dislike for his singing by alluding that I am biased against his region or religion and admit the fact that I dislike him because he is a bad singer. PERIOD

Gauri members are allowed appreciation threads here and if you don;t like some one you don;t have to join and yes you can criticize his signing here and you don;t have to agree with others as we all have our favorites.
No one is stopping any one from discussing any one's singing capabilies . . calling some one shallow is your personal opinion. Let us plz just stick to his singing.
