English Subtitle in Star One Channel

PETITION:

Star One TV channel airs many television shows however there are many people from worldwide who watches the program and they cannot speak Indian or understand Indian Language. This petition is a request for a english subtitles be included to Star One TV channel to add subtitles. It would benefit those who has a hearing impairment and also those who struggles to understand the language in the program. Star One TV Channel have programs such as Geet, Dil Mil Gaya etc. I really require your support.

I know alot of people found subtitles distracting. However my main concerns is for those who are Deaf and those who are non-indian as well as those who doesn't understand hindi so well. I am Deaf and at times I found myself missing part of the story and have to depend on the written updates.

I have always watched tv with subtitles. Subtitles can be turned on or off. Example when you are watching a hollywood DVD, you wanted to add subtitles, all you need to do is go in the language section and add the subtitles of your choices.

There was a time when I once missed my favourite TV program (SMALLVILLE) so i went on their original website. On the website it had a button to make the screen bigger and next to that there was another button to display subtitles. This benefit everyone if Geet series online has the same feature as Smallville.

My point here is that I prefer Star One to have subtitles added for those who want the subtitles. Just like on tv you can turn the subtitles on or off so it matches everyone's needs.

Hope I had explained my pov clearer.
