Cops Can’t Derail Vince and Jen

As Vince Vaughn's Swingers alter ego might say, "This is so not money, baby."

The Dodgeball star dodged a potential DUI after he and special friend Jennifer Aniston were pulled over for "a minor traffic violation" in Scottsdale, Arizona, earlier this week.

Vaughn, behind the wheel of rental car, and Aniston were wrapping up a Thanksgiving weekend trip when they were pulled over near a hotel shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

The patrolman "noticed a slight odor on his breath," said Sergeant Mark Clark of Scottsdale's finest, and, after asking the actor a series of questions, ordered Vaughn to take field sobriety tests.

"Mr. Vaughn was very cooperative," Clark told E! News. "Officers determined his blood-alcohol level was below the legal limit [of 0.08]," and no tickets were issued.

Clark said the officers on scene suggested Aniston and Vaughn hitch a ride with a friend who was trailing them. The are-they-or-aren't-they couple left the rental parked at the hotel and went on their way.

There was no immediate comment from the Vaughn and Aniston camps. The actors, who became friendly during the shooting of The Break Up in the weeks after Aniston's split with Brad Pitt, have been coy about the extent of their relationship. Aniston has called Vaughn a "dear friend," but paparazzi photos have capture them clinching and canoodling, seemingly backing up gossip magazine chatter of a burgeoning romance.

Indeed, People reported that they spent Thanksgiving in Scottsdale, at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain resort in a $2,000-a-night private mountainside cottage.

Their romantic comedy The Break Up is due out in June 2006. Vaughn, 35, most recently starred in the summer megahit Wedding Crashers, which grossed more than $200 million domestically. Aniston, 36, is currently in theaters in the suspense thriller Derailed, and next appears in the comedy Rumor Has It, opening Christmas Day.
