Was The 5 Year Leap Really Needed?

Was there a need for the creatives to have a leap of 5 years? Couldn't they have had the same story line without a leap? Fake family, a son may be smaller Radhs going to work at the house all in the same way BUT WITHOUT the leap!

I don't know, for me the 5 year leap is a joke! For 4 & 1/2 long years everything happened at snail pace and all of a sudden we are in a high action zone. Why did they have to make Radhs suffer for so long and most importantly how come she did not get pregnant?

In my point of view it would have been sensible to go on the same lines (as CVs love it) and not to have a leap. It would have been a respect for the love between RaDev and maintaining divinity of the story.

But CV's have ruined everything! All I can do is just roll my eyes like Mirnalini and wait and watch what is going to happen!

see In ZEE UNIVERSE every other serials are related to each other (whether they are from same production house or not ) .So it is like every main character making a guest appearance in other .As far as i know every other main leads have made appearance in CB

Now as usual most of them have gone for a 5 year leap .Now would'nt it will be unusual if CB remains in same time frame while other serials are in different time frame

Sometimes CV's have to go the einstien way to make sure all the craps they show will not make viewers mad

I think I am not as much emotionally attached to this show as you are .. but logically the leap wasn't required.

But I understand why the CVs wanted this ... with this leap the CVs want the viewers to forget everything and give them a chance to start with a clean slate again. But for us viewers it cannot happen bcos we cannot just think that there was a gap of 5 yrs without really seeing that gap, so I feel its ridiculous of the CVs to expect that from us viewers. And more so why should we be expected them to give this chance when all they are going to do it copy their own previous tracks in a new setting.

No, 5 year leap was not needed. At most, they could have shown few months (5-8 months) the time it took for PF to settle in Agra and Radhika to do find teaching type jobs. But, they wanted to add a child as that would be the hurdle between Dev and Radhika as otherwise there is no reason for Radhika to not take back Dev even if he got married again as legally and religiously she is his wife. But, if there is a child, then they can show RAdhika crying buckets and eventually backing out from Dev's life out of sacrifice. Also, they had to show the RP melodrama at the last minute which could have been at any time between 5 years.

I think if they really wanted to show a leap (as this seems to be the trend in tv serials), they should not have made it more than one year. But the 4 1/2 year business is also to show that Chachoo and Arjun will be inching closer to to the RP seat, because I think it was mentioned to the Mahant that if Dev is not proven alive in five years' time he will lose his RP status. So the five year leap (as ridiculous as it is) is the CVs way of bringing in high drama, and as Bee5 said, making viewers forget what CB used to be about before the shift to Agra.

One other zee show did not take the leap .. but they leaped it out of the screen! I hope CB is the next in line!

No the leap was not needed, but I think the CVS forgot the original story and made mess of the things.......to cover their tracks, they took a leap......this way they are lost and HOPE viewrs are lost too. 😉
