"kya hai ma? bolo warna main late hojaunga" his mother smiled and forwarded her hand towards him.

extending his hand, he took the little velvet box and flicked it open, " kaisi hai?tere liye hai" mayank smiled as he took out the rolex watch and placed it on his wrist, " thank you ma" bending down he took her ashirward, " jeete raho" shilpa said patting his head.

" okay main chalun ab? his mother nodded giving her permission, " ja ja janti hoon teri girlfriend wait kar rahi hai" taunting her son she turned around and walked towards the kitchen,

"ma tume bhi na! sudr jao!" sighing he left the house and drove away towards his office.

"beta ma ka sudr ne ko keh raha?" ..the amazent in her voice did not match the grin on her face,

" beta tujhe sajjal ki shaadi pe jana hoga, par kaise?" shilpa itched here and there searching for some idea that would get her lazy son to the wedding. But nothing came to mind.

"kya karun ki mayank shaadi pe chala jaye?" scratching her forehead she walked to the living, and her gaze fell upon the picture frame set on the middle of the wall.

It was a picture of mayank's collage days, it had samrat and gunjan, and ofcourse nupur who was leaning on his shoulder and hugging his right arm with a big smile on her face. And then there was sajjal in the back with Aditya.

Shilpa grinned to herself and picked up the phone, " sajjal beta teri aunty ko teri help chahiye...gor se suna mera ...plan....."

He pushed through the doors, entering into a lavish office made of full glass. the extrior made the office look more like a tourist site than some office.

" good morning sir" pinky the receptionist chirped seeing mayank walk in, he nodded at her without any smile. " sadru kahin ka kahbi smile hi nahi karta" pinky thought as she sat back down and picked up her half done sandwich.

"ms sapna please come into my office" mayank spoke roughly ordering his seceratary.

Sapna pushed open the door walking into mayanks cabin. she looked so nervous, trying very hard to handle the files in her hand while controlling her balance.

"ms sapna, i need the Gupta merger file please" sapna nodded and scrambled through the files in her hand, " ms sapna i need the file, " he said again making her more nervous, " yes sir... one minute"

Mayank looked up from his computer to see sapna confused and scared playing with the hem of her duppatta, " kya hua?" he asked seeing her alittle teary.

"woh sir..." she started but her tears made her voice quivery, " woh sir...woh sir..."

"kuch aur bhi bologi...ab//? main tumse gupta merger ki file mangi hai" sapna looked down but hesitantly replied, "sir woh...aapke desk pe hai" mayanks expression went from annoyed to embarrassed upon seeing the file on his desk.

"oh i'm sorry" he uttered barely loud enough for her to hear, " sir main jaun?" sapna asked alittle scared. she had always been afraid of rough mayank sharma, but she really needed this job so she had stayed.

Mayank sharma in the 2 years she had worked here never smiled or sympathized with anyone ...in any situation. It actually made her wonder sometimes if he was a human, but his dedications towards his work and employees was another reason for her staying.

"Kya chopra's se deal ke bare mein koi call ayi kya?" sapna thought for awhile and then nodded no, " no sir, but the manager had called and said that since the Vice president was going for a few days , so they need more time"

mayank in anger threw the file, " these people, they have no value for time or work, now because there VP has gone somewhere we have to put our work on hold! how irresponsible"

Sapna stood their without utterig a word, " sir main jaun?" she asked again, Mayank looked at her angrily but then calmed down seeing her afraid, " yes you can go"

" diiiiiiiii" gunjan screamed seeing her sister walk out of terminal one wearing a beautiful white & black churidaar looking stunning, " gunjan" nupur responded back hurring over to hug her little sister.

The seperated from the hug and admired each other for awhile, " tu kitni badal gayi hai" nupur exclaimed seeing her sisters change of style, " par di app bilkul nahi badali" nupur beamed with happiness, " main kyun badalun? Jaisi hoon waisi hi acchi hoon" gunjan giggled at her response.

" i have so much to tell you" nupur said excitedly picking up her luggage and walking out with gunjan towards the parking lot.

The car halted to a stop and they both headed inside.

" wah wah gunjan mana parega choti behn bari bahn kahiii age nikal gayi" nupur said stunned looking around the house.

It was a beautiful little house, every corner looked as if it had been decorated with love and care.

" di tum bhi na! accha batau kya peeyogi? coffee yan chai?" nupur face turned sour, " itni gharmi aur upsar aur garam muhje cold drink chahiye" gunjan nodded and went towards the kitchen.

"accha di tumhari sajjal se huyi kya?" gunjan asked walking into the living room carrying a glass,

" nahi par last week huyi thi! tu kyun pooch rahi hai? kahin usne apna mind toh nahi change kardiye adi ke bare mein" taking the glass from gunjan nupur took a long sip and sighed,

" ha...maza agaya. thandi thandi cold drink....gala bilkul sookh raha tha"

"nahi di aisi koi baat nahi, sajjal adi ke saath bahut khush hai" gunjan replied.

" chalo koi toh kisi ki saath khush hai, nazar na lage un dono ko" nupur said sadly but then loosened up and smiled, " accha bata teri movie kahan tak ponchi hai?"

" bas chal rahi hai par mein teen hafte ke break mangi jab tak tum yahan ho" nupur smiled,

" accha kiya warna uss director ko main aisa sunati ke woh tuhje phir kuch kehne laiyak nahi hota"

" di tum batau ....wahan dil lag gaya...teen saal ke bad arahi ho..!! yaad nahi ayi meri?" nupur got up and sat next to gunjan,

" pagal hai tu, teri yaad na aye aisa kahbi hosakta hai?" she took gunjans hand into her own, " tu toh meri jaan hai! bass kuch karna chahti thi, apna naam o nishan bana chahti thi ..." before she could continue gunjan cut her,

" hum sab se door reh kar?" nupur smiled, " main kab door gayi? tu mere saath chal sakti thi kya?... aur waise bhi door jakar hi insaan ko apnon ka ehsaas aur kadar atii hai" gunjan noticed the hint of sadness in her sisters eyes and she knew why too but she chose not to say anything at the moment.

" accha toh tumhe meri kadar agayi?" gunjan asked nupur laughed and pinched gunjans cheeks, " badi behn mein hoon yan tu? kadar tuhje meri karni chahiye..." gunjan pulled nupur in for a hug, " i missed you dii" nupur abit taken back but hugged her back, " i missed you too"

" sir there is a sajjal madam for you on the line" sapna said through the intercom, mayank who was sipping his coffee choked, " sajjal calling me?"he though picking up the phone.

" hello" mayank said barely loud enough to hear.after a loud yelling from the other side,

" sajjal calm down yaar! ...kya hua?" he asked trying to calm down his friend but it was no use she was very hyper ...and somewhat overreactive of little little things.

"bhag gaya? what do mean bhag gaya ?" he continued on with the conversation getting confused ...more by the second, " tumne kya kiya sajjal?"

" okay okay calm down...please calm down. no...i can't do that" he tried to convince sajjal otherwise but she seemed adamant, " fine ..fine..i will be there ..tommorrow! Now please stop crying"

Mayank sighed as he closed the phone, " yeh kya musibhat hai, ab muhje wahan jana parega!" his eyes caught the picture of nupur on his desk, " tum kahan chali gayi ho...? meri jhansi ki rani" he grinned widly as he traced her outline on the picture......

" Thank you so much sajjal beta, Okay bye" shilpa closed the phone and grinned, " beta jii ab toh tujhe nupur se milna hi hoga, ktini der bhage ga..."
