She woke with a wide smile on her face not opening her eyes yet and stretched a bit. Her hands then traced their way to the pillow and she lifted it gently and placed it aside..Her hands then picked up the photo frame lying there'..She lifted it and then hugged it close to her heart and holding it right in front of her'she slowly opened her eyes'

A smile crept on her lips as she heard her mobile ring right then..She lifted the cell and placed it near her ear not uttering a single word, staring at the frame in her hands'
"Happy birthday Heer'."
That was first thing she wanted to hear and that too in his voice'God granted her first wish for the day'She closed her eyes, hugging the frame'.
"Baat nahin karogi mujhse'" That brought her senses back and she made a slight sound which she herself wondered whether it was uttered or not'

There she was'.Sitting in a corner silently letting out tears'.He went up to her..
"BOO" He screamed into her ear'
It startled her all of a sudden and she pushed him causing him to fall on the ground' He pretended to be hurt and the next moment she ran over to him "Prem..prem"
"Haha darra diya na.." He said. Here she was crying and he was making fun of her'She started hitting him and walked away from him'
"Heer..heer dekho I'm sorry..plz heer last time..ab toh mein jaa raha hoon na'"
She stopped in her track hearing him say that'
He quickly walked up to her. "Heer meri taraf dekho last time.." She turned to him crossing her arms'
"That's like my good girl..dekho mein tumhare liye kya laaya hoon.." He shows her a cute teddy bear which he bought for her.
Seeing the teddy a smile appears on her face and she gives him a bear hug.. "Prem I'll miss you.." She said teary eyed'
"Mein bhi tumhe bohut miss karoonga Heer lekin don't worry mein tumhe roz call karoonga aur mail bhi karoonga'" He told her seriously..
"Agar nahin kiya toh'" She asked him in a cute way.. He looked around confused for few seconds and then found a stick in the corner. He picked it up and said
"Jab bhi mein tumhe call nahin karoonga na toh tum uss din ko count karo aur mere wapas aane ke baad tum mujhe iss stick se utni baar marnaa'"
She nodded her head smiling agreeing to his terms' That was the last time he saw her'

Ever since he left her day started with his call and ended with the video conference till late night..Sharing each day's events,
Hardly it ever happened that they missed any of these two but yesterday he neither called her nor did he came online to chat...However she was sure that he would call her today in any case as it's her birthday'
She didn't know what made her say that..She did it'Meher, her sister was trying to make her understand since the past one year that she was in love with Prem'but she never agreed'she always ruled it out whenever the topic came and here she finally admitted it'that to the man himself'.

Prem came out of his thoughts hearing the snoring sounds of his brother, Preet. Here he was unable to catch even a wink of sleep and he was sleeping'He immediately kicked him, causing him to fall on the ground..
Rubbing his eyes, he said sleepily
"aww PB that hurts!!! Kya hua??? Canada mein peacefully so raha tha'aapne meri saari neend karab karke yahaan tak keench laaye'ab yahaan aane ke baad bhi chain nahin mila kya aapko'"
Prem gave an irritated look to his brother..
"Mein ne tujhse kaha tha mujhe Ambala jaana hai'aur tune kya kiya'Delhi ki tickets laaye' Mujhe abhi Heer ke saath hona tha' usse'' saara plan spoil kardiya tune'"
Preet opened his eyes and gave him a look..
"Acha toh hum India Heer bhabhi ke liye aaye hain'mein toh soch raha tha koi business deal hoga'"
"Heer bhabhi????"
Prem gave him a questioning look to which Preet cooly answered..
"Haan bhabhi'waise ab mujhe samaj mein aa raha hai'aap India aaye bhi toh isiliye na'unhe propose karne ke liye'unka birthday gift'"
Prem was shocked beyond wits. First Heer and now Preet how many surprised are on his way..
How the hell did Preet know about all that!!! wait a second'
"Preet you rascal..stupid.. tune phir se meri diary padli'." He was chasing Preet who was running around the room'
"PB..PB.. woh I'm sorry'I was actually searching for my notes and I found your diary'" Preet finally fell on the sofa tired'
"Shut up Preet.. I'm fed of hearing the same lame excuse everytime' agar phir kabhi'tune diary ko haat bhi lagaya na toh dekhlena'."
Prem glared at Preet and the look he gave him made Preet feel sorry for him..
"Acha..teek hai..nahin padoonga'"
Prem smiled at him and then seeing his PB cool down, Preet asked him'
"waise plan kya hai aapka??"
"Tu mujhe ambala pouchayega tab jaake mein usse kuch bol paounga haina..aur waise bhi I'm late.ussne already kehdiya" Prem said with a frown on his face'
"What??? Sach mein!!! Yipeee" Preet danced in joy around the room'
"Oyi'tu itna khush kyun ho raha hai????" Prem asked him surprised..
"Woh kya haina PB mein uss nachadi Meher se actually bet lagaya tha'aap dono mein se pehle koun confess karega" Preet told him suppressing his smile..
"Kya???? Tum dono ko na' apne bhai aur didi ki life pe betting kar rahe ho'.You people are out of your minds'. Mein ne aur Heer ne socha ki ek doosre ke dost banoge..isiliye chance diya baat karne ka and tum dono ne'.OMG"
Prem was now fed up of Preet and his ways' How much ever he loved him dearly but day by day his masti is growing'
"PB sorry pehle ussi ne start kiya tha'mein toh bas'" Preet started stammering.
"Preet enough.. no more reasons.." Prem strictly told him.
Sensing his PB's anger, he quickly made his way towards the telephone in the room. He dialed to the receptionist and confirmed whether they got the tickets for the flight or not...
"Ek gante mein flight hain'" That was all Preet said before leaving to freshen himself'
Prem mentally kicked himself hearing Preets' tone. He hurt him'he hurt his dear brother'How could he be so stupid!! He let out all his frustration on him'
Preet came out of the washroom and saw his PB frowning..He knew his PB well'he must be repenting for scolding him' He walked over to his PB and gave him a hug which brought back smile on both their faces'
After a few hours of journey they finally were at their destination.. Prem took out his mobile and dialed her...

After coming out of her thoughts, Heer got ready and went downstairs. She took the blessings of her mom and dad and the whole family wished her'
Meher gifted her with a brand new watch while her parents gave her a new car.. She missed his gift'
"Di don't worry..May be your gift is on it's way'" Meher assured her sister. Prem posted a gifted every year for her birthday and it was the most awaited present every year'
Her mobile rang and she lifted it. She was confused when she saw his name flashing'He never called her at this time..He should be actually sleeping..

"Hmm tumhe kya lagta hai????" He asked with a smirk on his face..Before she could answer he cut the call as he knew she would have found answer to her question'
She ran to the place as fast as she could' She could hear her heart beats thumping aloud' that is god's best gift ever to her'.he was here'finally'still there was a trace of doubt in her mind which was cleared when she found someone's back facing her'
She fell down on the ground'he was for real'he came'
He turned back when he heard the sound of someone falling' He saw her letting out tears and spreading out her arms for him'.
He walked over to her and the next second engulfed her in his arms'He himself couldn't help but let out his tears'
After 14 long years of separation they finally are in each others' arms'

"So..subah kya keh rehti phone par'" He asked her naughtily causing her to blush'
"woh mein..woh'" She said shyly' she didn't except to see him so soon..She wasn't prepared at all'Morning she just couldn't control herself'It was his picture so she somehow managed'
Now he was in front of her in flesh'how can she???
She was about to run away from there when she felt his hand catching hold of her wrist'
She turned back to see him on his knees' She expected him to hold out his hand for her but no that wasn't the case'
He lifted her leg and put it on one of his thighs.. He then took something out of his pocket and put it around her feet'

When they were young, they went to a mela where Heer found beautiful payals but that wasn't her size..It was too big for her'
Prem was continuously chatting something when he failed to hear Heer's response; he turned to see Heer staring at something'it was payals which were too big for her'
"Prem dekho who payal kitne ache hain" She said in a sweet voice'
"Par tumhare liye bohut bade hain na heer" he tried to sooth her'
"Hum abhi kareed lete hain..phir jab mein badi ho jaoungi tab mein pehloongi'" She told him still not convinced about leaving them like that..
"Par heer abhi toh humare pass paise bhi nahin hai'" He told her sadly'
A frown appeared on her face and she went and sat in a corner'
"Heer meri baat suno.." He went after her'
"Jab mein bada ho jaounga tab mere pass bohut saare paise honge na'tab tumhare birthday par mein tumhe ye gift doonga'" saying this he sat beside her'
"Pakka na.." She asked him confused..
"Pakka'mein khud tumhe pehnauga.." He smiled at her'
She gave him a wide smile and kissed his cheek'

Recalling the incident brought smile on both their faces'
She saw him place her leg down and then she turned back to leave when she felt his breath near her ear'
"arre yeh kya'mein ne apna promise nibhaya'par tum kuch.." He winked at her..
Unknowing blush crept her cheeks when she heard what he said next'
"Tum toh bachpan mein hi romantic thi'ab shayad'"
He noticed her face turn red like an apple and he knew the look in her eyes'He was dead now'He ran away from there with Heer chasing him'.
He turned back saying Heer to stop while running backwards and something caused Heer to trip and she fell on him while he fell backwards on the grass'
Her hands which were about to him were now entwined in his and she was struggling to get up.. He rolled over her trying not to fall his weight on her'

He gave her a wide grin and inched closer to her face' He whispered "I love you" against her lips which actually made her wonder whether he actually said it or not'
