Awards are the best way to acknowledge and value one's performance. STAR Parivaar Awards rewards the popular faces of television channels, who have earned a special place in the viewers' hearts for the past many years. They come and go but there are certain larger-than-life characters who remain etched in our memories forever. We list out a few who became regular winners at SPA (STAR Parivaar Awards).


1. Smriti Irani: Irani has been the most favourite at STAR Parivaar Awards. She has been loved by the viewers and has been bestowed upon with several awards in consecutive years. Arguably, one of the most prominent faces of STAR Plus, the actress was the recipient of favourite bahu and favourite patni awards in the year 2003. She bagged the favourite maa and saas awards in the year 2004 and again became the favourite saas in 2005 and 2007. She got special recognition award in 2008.

2. Saakshi Tanwar: After Smriti, if anyone could win the viewers' hearts and become the most loved bahu of television, it was Saakshi Tanwar. The actress bagged the best bhabhi award in 2005 and again won in the same category in the year 2008 along with the best maa award.

3. Hussain Kuwajerwala: The style icon of youth, Hussain shot to fame as Sumit Wadhva of STAR Plus' Kumkum. The actor has been the favourite of the loyal viewers of the channel. He has bagged the favourite devar award in 2003 followed by favourite pati awards for four consecutive years - 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. He was also the recipient of the favourite bhai award in the year 2006.

4. Gauri-Hiten Tejwani: Karan and Nandini (Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan) kept ruling the hearts of their fans and thereby bagging the best jodi awards. The duo bagged the favourite jodi award in the year 2005, 2007 and 2008 as Karan and Nandini from the popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi kabhi Bahu Thi.

5. Ali Asgar: Ali's portrayal of a doting devar as Kamal Aggrawal made him extremely popular amongst the married ladies across the globe. The one, who were preparing to tie the knot wished to have a brother-in-law like him. Asgar, who played devar to Saakshi Tanwar, bagged the best devar award in 2007 and 2008.

6. Shweta Tiwari: Shweta's character of Prerna in the popular show Kasautii Zindagii Kay was a perfect mix of beauty and brains. She became an instant hit and went ont to become one of the most loved bahus on television, thus joining the league of Smriti and Saakshi. She won the best jodi award with Anurag Basu (Cezanne Khan) in 2003 at the STAR Parivaar Awards. She won the favourite maa in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. She also bagged the favourite bahu award in 2004 and was bestowed with a special award acknowledging her immense service to the channel in 2008.
