Why Like Suhana?

Hey guys,

Well I honestly do. I agree she comes across as immature, proud, superficial and temperamental. Yet for all her flaws she is basically a nice girl at heart. If she weren't, she wouldn't have gone back to the mandap and married Ishaan. Although she had second thoughts, she didn't break her father's trust in her. And even now she won't leave Ishaan's house although she's miserable, not only because she wants to prove she is marriage material, but also because she has a conscience which will not let her do so. To me, she is very much real. Not a heroine of an epic serial who is a paragon of virtues. She has her insecurities and her misguided sense of values. But underneath it all, she is genuine, passionate person, not evil or conniving.

Re: Ishaan - He agreed to marry her knowing her past, her nature, her temperament fully well. He wanted to marry her. For a shy guy like him who has no great aspirations in life, Suhana was like an unreachable star. And when the opportunity came to reach out for the star, he grabbed it with both hands. But he forgot that a dazzling star can leave a burn on your hand. So he has to bear the consequences of his greed.

He will tame her and she will excite him. Together these two will be an awesome combination.

lol...i like your explanation of why ishaan married suhana. he grabbed an opportunity to attain the unattainable but didn't bother to give one thought to the consequences.

As for taming her, the poor guy wouldn't be able to tame a fly, forget suhana!!!! LOL

but still, regarding suhana, i know she is a nice-hearted girl, but at some point ettiquettes, grace and the ability to put others ahead of us has to count, otherwise we would all be free to roam around being super rude to people as long as we can maintain a 'nice' heart. she did go ahead for the sake of her father, but how she is with people who are nothing to her? that remains to be seen.

i heard that true grace shines through in how you treat people who can do nothing for you. I hope i get to see a graceful suhana soooooooooooon :)

Jiya - I am truly enjoying this conversation, so I am going to reply to your comment.

When I said taming her, I meant it by example and influence. Not by brute force. :-) When you see someone being nice, kind, caring et al, you cannot help but retaliate in kind.

And yes you are right! One cannot behave badly and get away with it because one is a nice person at heart. But those are the lessons that she'll have to learn, albeit the hard way. :-)

Suhaana and Ishaan..howsoever they might be they are the heart and soul of this show,they are our Sushaan😉

Regarding Ishaan marrying Suhana,if u have seen the previous episodes,Ishaan was first shocked knowing that suhana agreed to marry him........And if u recollect,Ishaan had also called Suhana and asked whether she really wants to marry him during the haldi ceremony and Suhana said yes.So I guess Ishaan ensured whether Suhana really agreed and then took this step : )

i know that he called and thought that suhana agreed. my question was really more around why would ishaan want to marry her. what did he see in suhana that made him think, "gee!! wouldn't it be nice if i can have all the abuse and yelling and screaming and insulting for the rest of my life. I am sure my family would enjoy it too"

i think ishaan did not think his decision through and the possible consequences. even if someone agrees to marry you, you have to think about why you want to marry them, not just why they want to marry you.

i do agree wid ur saying tht suhana is a brat..well she is..bt she is not evil..and i thnk tht is wjot ishan saw in her..and i second what ladymacbeth said..for him getting married to suhana was like a dream coz she is at one end of the popularity spectrum and he on the other..for sum wierd reason the spoilt pampered brats are always popular..never understood y..anyways,if u would remember he did make sure SHE said yes to the marriage once her photo was shown to him and then he agreed to the marriage..probably shocked him tht suhana chose him.. and i think they would bring out the best in each other..he would make her realise tht her behaviour wid people leaves a lot to be desired and she would help him grow a spine..

Jiya I think Ishaan took the decision by heart not by brain. From the day he said I love u to Suhana he had a soft feeling on her. He knew that she is a brat still he started liking her. When he got a marriage proposal from her firstly he shocked,then when badi ma said Suhana was agreed to marriage he agreed immediately. When we start liking anyone we cant see his/her fault. This was exactly Ishaan do.
