'One doesn't need to look old to play an aged person'
There is going to be another generation leap in Kyunki very soon. Do you like playing an older person?
At this moment, I'm not thinking about it. But I guess, the leap has been postponed for sometime because of the damage caused due to fire in the Hum Paanch sets. There will definitely be new characters coming in.
But it's not necessary that I have to look old to play someone elderly. Guess I'll have to sit and work it out with the serial makers.

Is there anything new that we can expect after the generation leap?
Maybe more link-ups and divorces. It's a daily soap and the story has to go on. Moreover, there has to be some kind of a build-up to the generation leap. Even if it is illogical, we just do what we are told.
How did you feel when your character Kshitij in Kkusum was bumped off ?
The character was really very nice. I think they did the right thing by ending it. I was the good guy and there was nothing else I could add to the role. It's better to bring the character to an end rather than just continue with it aimlessly.
After winning a celeb talent hunt contest recently, are you seriously thinking of taking up singing as a career?

I had my first concert recently. It was simply great. I realised I was more popular than Qazi because I got booed more than him.
On a serious note, I'm working on my first album. But I have always wanted to be an actor. I have been getting a lot of film offers. Talks are going on and hopefully something materialises soon.
