It may not be any of those women invovled. Champa's husband may have stolen Moongy's diamond ring from her house and when he ran away from DM, with another man (not a woman) possibly it was when he was running with Molik, when the ring fell out.
Remember that Molik was missing that evening when DM came back with the news about Champa's husband running away and on finding new evidence.
Where was Molik?
Birwa has no reason to kill her neices and nephews. She killed Arjun only because he was going to kill her father.
Molik hates his own family and got Arjun drunk in order to have Hitten killed. He is very jealous of Hitten, and would be even more envious of Hitten's children inheriting DM's wealth.
Then again it could be someone from outside the family....someone who may have planned the murder of Toral's first fiance....who knows?
One thing is for sure. These soaps are excessively lengthy with too many twists turns that are mind boggling and time wasting.

True, that it was only after Birwa gave that pudding to Khemi when she was sick (I think it was on Holi) but Birwa has no reason to kill her neices and nephews unless it's to make Khemi's son the inheritor. She killed Arjun only because he was going to kill her father, unless the director is being silly and Birwa has now gotten into the evil, bad habit of murdering after getting over her first guilt ~ once a murderer always a murderer?

cluelass your right or it cud be sheer guilt driving her to do that ... as she is the one who single handedly ruined the lives of khemi and her son... somehow in her twisted head she thinks its payin them back!!! or it khemi cud be behind it all herself!

Hi Kinza,

If guilt is driving Birwa then what about murdering all those innocent children?
Wouldn't that give Birwa more guilt?
...She would explode with so much guilt that everyone would hate her. That's why I don't think it's Birwa as she is not become nasty enough (....well, not quite yet).
Also did you notice how the small Birwa was away from the screen when we all were trying to work out who killed Arjun?
Then notice again how Molik is put behind the screens esp. on the day DM went out in search of Champa's husband and returned to his family.
Moongi's ring was stolen either by Birwa to make her into a criminal out of pure envy.
Seeing it was diamond ring, also Champa's husband could have stolen it or given to him as a reward by someone else.
Molik was missing from the set on that episode.
This is why I think either Molik is behind it, or some outsider.
Khemi is a mother herself, she would probably run awya rather than kill other people's children, also she spoke againt champa's husband to Toral and about him taking advantage over family while his wife was working for her living there, so I don't think it's Khwmi from what she's been saying so far, or from the emotional cues she shown to this case.

LOL Cluelass I guess the episode puts an end to this discussion.... Khemi does have a motive...true she is a mother herself but she has already suffered and does not want her son to go thru the same i guess... who knows now why she was there and wat she is upto!

The director has spoilt it by involving Khemi as the one paying for the poisoning of Torals' unborn..
Molik had the most motive of all as he tried to get Hitten killed.
  • Khemi herself told Hitten and Toral to get married.
  • Khemi put the henna on Toral's hands in her wedding to Hitten
  • Hitten & Toral always treated Khemi well
  • The whole family including Moti also accepted Khemi in the family,
Therefore Khemi had absolutely no motive for envying, or murdering Toral's unborn kids.
Khemi did say in the beginning to Toral, after Santu came out of jail, " watch your step you don't what happened to you last time happeneing again" which gave me suspicion that she is trying to kill her baby, but come on, let's be frank here:
Khemi has been offered a free house, free support, her son receives free education which is paid through DM. Both Khemi and her son receive all the shelter, food, clothes, luxury and comfort they'll ever need.
So why would she blame Hitten and Toral for her being a widow who can't have any more children, or why blame them for her husband being killed? Why the envying now but not before?
It's very evil to want only her son as the sole inheritor of the DM family. Yet Khemi's upbringing with her nana was never like this, so it defies all logic and sense.
A weird and a twisted choice of a culprit.

Hi i m a silent reader in this post but had an opinion so hope it okay to post.

Khemi is the culprit and dfntly has a motive. According to her there are only 3 sons of DM : Hiten, Arjun khemi's hubby and Suraj. Meaning only 3 Varis to the whole property.

After DM's death if hiten doesnt have any kids then less shares for her to worry about. Suraj on the other hand is still too young. And Birwa will be married soon and off to her house.

As far as moulik is concerned he is technically Moti-ben's son so to speak he has no share in the property. Aur waise bhi DM ne de bhi diya to bhi koi khas fark nathi padta as he is not a Varis.

Same goes to Kaddu, she is the daughter and daughters dont have as much shares as sons of the family. (no offence).

So that means the only MALE grandchild is frm Khemi-mai. Chaching, Chaching.

PS: didnt u notice that even tho Toral being the eldest daughter in law of the family when Santu came back frm Jail Khemi had the tijori ki chabiyan. That so obvious that she want to be the in charge.

think bout it guys.

^ The people most likely to be greedy for money and wealth are Sandeep, his father, Moti & Molik, DM's brother-in law (Subadra's sister's husband) and Arjun (who's dead).
Khemi and Santu had an innocent poor village-life backround, Khemi was never greedy after wealth. Yes she wanted her own child dead in the beginning as she did not want Santu there after thinking she's killed Arjun and because Santu said she did not want Khemi to be part of the family, a blamethat Santu took on herself in order to cover up for Birwa.
And about Arjun's murder, DM shouldn't blame Santu either, because he should realise it may not be her and whoever killed Arjun did it in self defense to save him.
But let's hold on, wait and see, Khemi's only threw out the money. This still doesn't mean that she is the culprit. She may be covering up someone else (as Santu had for Birwa) or she may be paying Champa's husband for some other reason.
Anyway, how on earth did Santu get rid of Champa's husband and why? Wouldn't it have been better to catch him as well?
