Dancing has been a part of my life from a very young age. I've been trained in bharatnatyam and bollywood forms of dancing. I have also done some choreography for my own as well as my family members dance. Of course I am no where close to the wonderful judges of DPL. But in a dance the number one quality is the expression of the dancers. Expression brings out everything in a dance. If you can't show the right expression then the dance won't be as strong. In a group dance syncronization is key. The members should be very synchronized. The movments for the dance should be sharp and brisk. For me personally dance should be dance. It is ok to incorporate a few stunts to the act, but a overdose of stunts takes away from the dancing aspect. And most importantly, dance is a passion. When you dance that passion should show. Energy is key. You have to enjoy what you're doing. In summary, just dance your heart out without worrying about anything else. =)
