Hi,
I am sorry, I couldn't reply/help you guys, as I was a little busy. So today I decided to make a topic which can help you guys make a Banner. I am more familiar with Adobe Photoshop. Therefore below method is from Adobe Photo Shop 7.0.
you can download the free trial version from However, I am not sure if you will be allowed to use all the features. but give it a try.
Here is what you have to do:
Step One:
Step Two:
When you click on New option, following window will pop-up
type everything as above.
Step Three:
Zoom in as follow. coz we might think it is small but if we set the settings to 100% it is perfect.
Step Four:
(If you want to) Change Background Color of the Banner:
Step Five:
Select the picture you want to add in the banner, and Crop as following, (if needed)
Step Six:
After Cropping, resize your image according to the banner's size. Go to Image and Image size, as shown below.
Step Seven:
A window will pop-up. Add your height ( I mean the picture's Height as 90). But be sure to click on the option in the green box below "Constrain Proportions" by clicking this the picture will automatically will set the width and the graphics. so it does not look bad.
Your window should look like the one above.
Step Eight:
Your Picture is now Shrinked!
Step Nine:
Highlight the small picture and Copy / Paste it in on the banner.
Step Ten:
Do the similar process with all the pictures you need. and Paste them on your Banner. Arrange them, as you like, I am not creative, so I perfer simple copy paste. you guys can experiment with what and how to paste them.
DO NOT Save banner as .jpg or .gif , until and unless you are satisfied with the banner's base/arrangement of pictures. If you want to try, then make several copies of it. otherwise save the complete banner in .psd type. which will save the multiple layers. .jpg and .gif, combine all the layers and make it one layer, then you cannot move pictures around.
However, to add brushes and other effects on the banner, you have to first save the banner as .jpg.
Here is your incomplete Banner:
Step Elevan:
Now For the Final Touches & Tips!!
How to Load Brushes!
How To Blur and use other features under Filters!
Go to Filter and then Blur. you have many kinds of Blur Options, Experment each. and save it when you are satisfied.
You Can choose and experiment other options in Filter. They are really kool
Step Forteen:
(will add the complete banner later)
Hope it Helps a little, I am not a very good at this, but have just posted it 4 u all
If you have any Queastions feel Free to Ask!π
