Maasa's family happily talks to MS and RS about this and that. Maasa asks Basanth to call Bhairav. She tells Bhairav about Suguna and Bhairav is ecstatic. He talks to Madan and thanks him for changing his mind. He promises to return within a week.
The pandit says that the best time for gauna is the next day, else they have to wait a month. Everyone is puzzled what to do next. Maasa tells MS and RS that they will decide and call them. The family wonders how they can do Suguna's gauna without Bhairav. Suguna refuses to go to Shyam's house without Bhairav being present at her gauna. Maasa tells Sumitra to call Bhairav. Sumitra calls him and tells him the problem. Bhairav tells her to proceed without him even though he really wants to be there. He talks to Suguna and convinces her to agree to the gauna next day.Shyam leaves to go back to his house and promises Suguna to come the next day and take her home.
Bhago and Khajan take turns cursing their fate and wonder how they can arrange for 15,000 rupees. Bhago decides to talk to the manager and leaves. She goes to the manager and explains their situation. She cries and asks for a loan and promises that Khajan and her will work all their lives and pay back the loan. The manager suggests that he is going to Mumbai the next day and that Bhago should sell Anandi to him for the money.
Bhago is shocked and disgusted to hear the manager's proposal. She slaps and yells at him in front of everyone. The manager is super pissed and fires her. The supervisor comes there to say that the owner wants to meet him in the guest house. The manager tells him to get rid of Khajan and family immediately. Some woman consoles Bhago and tells her to talk to the owner directly as he is a nice man and may help her. Bhago thinks about this.
