Jaipur, Aug 2 (PTI) Actor Rajeev Khandelwal may have defended his show 'Sach Ka Saamna' as a "tool of truth", but his mother believes that the popular TV programme often crosses the lines of societal propriety.

The contents of the show which delves into the personal and sexual histories of contestants has been described as degrading to "Indian culture" by parliamentarians and social activists and Khandelwal's mother in Jaipur has echoed similar sentiments.

"The format is interesting, but sometimes I think it is best not to probe into certain aspects of a person's life for the sake of the society and their families," the host's mother Vijayalaxmi Khandelwal, told PTI here.

While Khandelwal's mother said that she would never want to be on the hot seat in front of her son, his father a retired member of the Indian Army said that he will gladly become a participant on the controversial show.

Mumbai: The handsome host of reality show on channel Star plus "Sach Ka Samna" Rajeev Khandelwal's home has become the battle field for him.

On one hand where his mother is opposing the show, on the other hand his father is admiring such program on TV. His mother does not like this program at all.

According to host's mother this program discloses those facts which someone never loved to think again. She also added that this show unhide those personal facts that a common man get rights to raise questions for it. This is program is totally against the religions of the Indian culture. Rajeev's mother also stated that she would never love to be the part of the program.

The retired army officer C. L. Khandelwal and the father of the host Rajeev Khandelwal stated in the contrary that the show is superb and he has no objection with it. He wants to be the part of the show and would like to face the realities of his life in front of the camera.

His father also said that the persons who are opposing the show are scared from facing the truth.
