21 April WRITTEN update: The mother of the bride..

The episode begins with Moti-ben and Mongi's scene (sorry missed a little part of it)
Moti-ben(MB) is rude with Mongi and tells her not to think too much of herself
and to remember her status before arguing with her ... Mongi is about to go away when MB calls her
back ..

MB: They say you should not mess with a child .. but since the child in question is you,
I need to tell you this .. about your banevilal .. what do you think? That your banevilal
and your behna have married? Just like we buy things from the market,
your banevilal has bought your behna .. just like you will be sold off
when you are grown up ..

Mongi is totally dis-illusioned and cannot beleive that her banevilal would turn
out something like this .. she is crying .. MB is still caustic towards her ..
Birwa comes to Mongi and drags her along, telling MB that she likes
Mongi a lot and knows she's Santo's sister.. Mongi leaves with her..

The priest tells the family to start the engagement ceremony.. Meghna does her bit and
then asks for Santo but she is nowhere to be found ..

Santo, who is returning to the hall, is surprised to see a cloaked figure peeping into
the hall with some villagers - she is TOTALLY shocked to find out that it is Maulik ..
Maulik sees her and runs away .. Santo runs after him .. and then corners him
finally as he reaches a wall .. Maulik does not allow her to talk ..

M : Because of you, only because of you, this suffering has come upon me .. you have
destroyed the life of my brother and sisters .. because of you,
all this is happening .. your cow died, and you just brought up such a huge storm!
Because of you alone, Hiten bhai is completing my punishment.. and MY punishment- is
to live my life like this - to watch my career , my life all wiped away in front of me ..
I am living like a thief .. I cant even greet my sister at her own engagement.. leave alone
meeting her ...

S: I know you are missing your sister.. and beleive me, she is missing her brothers
the most today as well .. please come with me, I will make you meet her ..

M: Please! Neither do I need you NOR any of your favors .. just stay away
from me ..

S: You may not need me .. but your sister needs you tonight.. meet her ..
and jamai-raja .. for he will be leaving tonight .. and you
will not get to meet him till the wedding then ! Come with me, please

Maulik agrees and goes with Santo ..

Meanwhile, at the engagement ceremony, the mahurat  is passing away .. everyone
is constantly asking for Santo .. DM is agitated and tells the priest that Santo will
 be there in some time and asks him to carry on with the ceremony.. the ring ceremony
gets underway .. Kaduu first puts the ring on Shashank's finger and when it's her turn,
she puts her wrong hand forward because the other one has Sandeep's ring on ..
Meghna sks her to put the other hand forward .. and everyone is surprised to see
the ring on her ring finger .. she tries to remove it but fakes that it's stuck ..Meghna
asks Shanky to put his ring on the same finger .. a little away from the previous ring, which he
does.. everyone is very happy that the engagement is now done ..
Kaduu is very sad .. but Shashank does not see the sadness on her face...

Virat comes to the engagement and Bapuji greets him ..

B: What is this , Virat? You are so late tonight ..

V: Yes .. today I am a bit too late .. but what could I do? I just got the 7-country
export order (looking at DM) so I have been really caught up with that ..
you know what Bapuji? I think your jamai (DM) is now losing his hold
over the business .. soon he is going to lose it ..

B: So many days have passed away Virat , but you still do not know DM ..

V: I know DM .. but you do not know the tricks time plays .. very soon
DM will no longer be the leader ..

B: You do not know DM ... when he wakes up, he will take
the competition by storm .. and you will be nowhere ..

V: Well, bapuji- it's time you warn your son-in-law that his good
days are numbered ..

B: That's what I am doing ..

Virat is zapped and admires his sense of humor and then proceeds to meet DM..

DM: You will never get rid of your bad habits .. even tonight you are so late..

V: I could not help it sadubhai .. I was really busy with the project.. you know what?
I think this time Avinash Chaudhary will pip you in the race this time ..

DM: Well .. one should always bet on the right horse in the race.. and very soon
Avinash will realize that he has been betting on a donkey all along!

V: You mean you are the horse in the race?

DM: Who am I to say nothing? I hope you know that a king can move only
one move in the game of chess .. but it is that one move that
makes all the difference ..

Virat is irritated by DM's confidence ..

DM: I know you are in a hurry , but dont go without having your dinner, ok?

DM beckons Pinakin and tells him to make the arrangements for
Shashank being dropped off at the airport ..
Virat leaves ..

Maulik comes back home with Santo and she takes him up to her room ..
she is about to tell him something when they hear cars honking.. DM and Meghna enter ..

Meghna asks DM if he and Santo had a fight .. DM denies it ...
Meghna asks him the reason for Santo skipping the entire engagement..

Baa cuts in and tells her that Santo was occupied with a lot
of things regarding the engagement and thus she
missed out .. Meghna wants Shashank to get Santo's blessings but
she is again absent .. Baa takes them all inside for the engaged couple to
get Subhadra's blessings..

Santo tells Maulik to hide in her room and that she will call him down at the earliest
chance she gets.. she comes down and MB catches her ... MB asks her where
she was all the time and tells her she is sick of lying for her absence and reprimands
her on her dress .. she asks her to dress up properly .. Santo goes in and is walking
towards DM's room for a saree..

Kaduu and Shanky are praying with their back to Santo ..
Kaduu is praying silently and telling her mom that this engagement is a farce for her
and she shall marry only Sandeep ..

Santo is moving towards the stairs and turns to get one look of Shashank ..

Shashank, DM and Kaduu are going to the airport.. Kaduu's phone rings..
DM asks who it is... Shanky looks at the caller id and tells him
that it is Sandeep calling .. Kaduu is scared..
