Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan has toed the footsteps of Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio. Shah Rukh, who endorses the same watch brand as Leonardo, has reportedly done a photo shoot that was conceptualised first on the Hollywood star.
Only after Leonardo was through with the shoot, the concept was passed on to Shah Rukh. Earlier, tennis pin up girl Maria Sharapova also went through a similar photo session. That brings us to the question why is SRK, the most popular star in Bollywood, following the footsteps of a Hollywood actor?
Photographer Atul Kasbekar, who was in charge of Shah Rukh's photo session, says, "It is true that SRK did something which was done by Leonardo, but it is the brand's decision to have a similar theme for all its ambassadors. Maria Sharapova, too, did something similar earlier. We were given a brief about the concept and we had to shoot keeping that in mind. Shah Rukh too didn't have any problem. He was relaxed and the entire photo session was great."
A source had tipped us off earlier saying, "Not always would you find Shah Rukh following somebody, but he had to do that on this occasion. Shah Rukh had been informed about the shoot and he was quite cool about it. Basically, the watch brand has shot three of their ambassadors with the common theme. Shah Rukh knew that the concept had been earlier shot with Leonardo."
