Saradha cutting vegetables when Meena comes out of the pooja room.  Saradha asks Meena to help cut some onions but Meena refuses saying she has to study and leaves.  Ranjini comes in and asks why Meena is upset and if mother scolded her.  Saradha says Meena is upset because she had asked for help in cutting onions.  Ranjini sits down to help and sees her mother wiping tears from the eyes.  She asks what is wrong and mother tells her that her eyes have been twitching for a few days and is worried that something bad might happen.  Rajagopal comes in and shouts at Saradha.  He tells her not to talk like that when Ranjini is there because even now Ranjini is still hesitant with the wedding and doesn't want Saradha's talk change her mind.  He tells them that no matter what happens, even if he dies, the wedding must take place and leaves.  Ranjini and Saradha are shocked.

 

Selva asks Kannan why he had supported Chandra when she shouted at him the day before.  Kannan says he had to otherwise Chandra would have started to think about the call from her mother that came from Bangalore and Selva's visit to Bangalore and would have deduced that they are doing something behind her back.  If she does that and finds the truth they would be in jail in no time at all.  Selva asks what can they do.  Kannan gives him an idea to get married to Aishwarya.  Kannan says if Aishwarya is raped by someone, finds out she is pregnant after 2 months, Chandra would be devastated and Selva can step in and offer to marry Aishwarya and then in time, the wealth will be theirs. Selva says he will not marry a girl who has been raped by someone else.  Kannan tells him that someone is Selva.  He tells Selva to get Aishwarya to their guest house and give her some sleeping pills and then sleep with her.  He has to make sure that Chandra never finds out about this ever or they will be dead.  Selva seems to like the idea.

 

Aishwarya is with some friends.  She tries calling Karthik but does not get thru.  She tells her friends that Karthik is not answering her calls.  They asks her why she is still running after him and say Kasrthik may find some other girl and marry her and then she will be left alone.  Aishwarya says she will never let that happen.  The friends give her an idea - to ask Karthik to come to her guest house and mix some sleeping pills in his drinks and put his to sleep.  Next morning pretend to have slept with him.  When Chandra sees her with Karthik, he will definitely marry her.  Aishwarya too seems to like the idea.

 

Satia tells Ranjini that the man who leased the office building to Gopi is not the owner.  He had in fact leased it from another person for a year.  This guy has cheated Gopi with a 2 year lease.  Ranjini is worried because Gopi's brother had mortgaged their house to get money for investment into this business and if something were to go wrong they would be ruined.  Satia tells Ranjini not to worry as they are now going to meet the actual owner to talk to him.  When they reach the owner's house, they watchman says they have left for Bombay witht he family and will return in a month.  Satia asks for contact information but is told he did not leave any.  Satia tells Ranjini they have no choice but to try and stop Gopi from carrying out more work this project for one month.  Ranjini is not sure if Gopi will listen to her and thinks.  THODARUM.

 

Gopi's SIL, Maheswari (finally got her name right) is cooking in the kitchen when her mother visits.  Gopi too welcomes her and tells SIL he is going to the bank and leavevs.  Mother asks Mahes if Gopi has found work.  Mahes tells her mother Gopi is starting his own business - garment business.  Mother asks where they got hte money to invest.  Mahes tells her they mortgaged their house for 10 lakhs to invest in the business.  Mother is shocked and scold Mahes for agreeing to such thing.  She tells what would happen if they do not succedd and if they are not able to repay the loan.  Mahes is all scared now.  Mother tells her to ask the husband to return the money back and get their house documents back from the lender.

 

Madhu is at home all sad.  Vasundra comes down and sees her daughter sad.  She calls paati and Ramachandran and ask them to make Madhu laugh.  But no matter what they try Madhu still sad.  Vasundra tells her that there is nothing to worry about as after a little more time, the surgery can be done.  Vasundra tells her daughter not to be sad and smile for her and finally Madhu does.  All of them laugh and sing song.

 

Ranjini calls Vasundra's house and enquire about Madhu's eye surgery.  Vasundra says the surgery did not take place as the doctor wants to wait for six months.  Ranjini feels bad and says she would hav taken leave and visited her if she had known but now she is on her way to work and can't come.  Vasundra asks where Ranjini works and when Ranjini replies, "Chandramathi Group of Companies, Vasundra is shocked.  Vasundra then tells Ranjini not to call or come to her house and disconnects.  Madhu asks her mother to pass the call to her but Vasundra tells her daughter that Ranjini will never call or come to the house.  Madhu and the others are shocked..  Ranjini on the other end is totally shocked.  THODARUM.

 

Vasundra disconnects the call and tells Madhu not to talk to Ranjini anymore.  Kannan meets Selva and ask if everything is done.  Selva tells his uncle about what happened.  Kannan tells Selva not to worry but to try again.  He tells Selva to try again that day. 

 

Aishwarya calls her friend who is waiting at a street corner, if Karthik has arrived. The friend says not yet and hangs up.  Friend then sees Karthik and quicky pushes her scooty down and sits at the side pretending to be in pain.  Karthik goes to her and asks what happened.  The girls says she fell down and hurt herself.  She asks Karthik to send her home.  Karthik hesitates at first but agrees.  Aihwarya calls her friend again and the firls says she had a fall and Karthik is helping her to get home.  Aishwarya is very happy and looks for hte guest house key.  Kannan comes and asks what she is looking for.  Aishwarya asks for hte key and Kannan brings it from Chandra's room.

 

Kannan asks why she need the to use the guest house and why she is going alone.  Aishwarya tells him not to worry as the servant is there and leaves.  Kannan quickly calls Selva and tells him to follow Aishwarya to the guest house and take care of matters.  Chandra comes there and wants Selva to go to the bank.  Kannan tells Chandra he will go instead as Selva might make some mistake and then he will surely have to go.  Chandra says ok.  Kannan tells Selva to go.

 

Selva follows Aishwarya, but hhis motocycle breaksdown.  Aishwarya enters the guesthouse and tells the servant a friend of hers is coming and for her to prepare a glass of grape juice and another glass of apple juice.  She also gives some pills and ask her to mix it in the grape juice.  Servant refuses but Aishwarya tells her it is just a prank and not to worry.  Servant agrees and goes into the kitcjhen. 

 

Karthik arrives with the friend and tells her to go in but she refuses and asks Karthik to go in and call her mother.  Karthik enters and calls for the girl's mother.  Aishwarya comes out and smiles and tellshim it was a trick to bring him there.  Karthik turns around and sees the other girl gone.  He scolds Aiswarya.   Aishwarya tells him this is the last time they will meet as she had agreed to marry the groom chosen by her mother and will go overseas.  She asks him to have a drink and leave. 

 

The servant is mixing drinks and is confused about which drink to mix the pill to.  She finally decides on the apple juice and mixes it, takes it to Aishwarya and then leaves.  Aishwarya takes the apple juice and gibvves the grape juice to Karhtik.  Aishwarya feels giddy and drops.  Karthik takes her into the room and puts her ont he bed.  THODARUM.

 

Karthik takes Aish to her room and puts her on the bed.  Aish blabbers about she tricking Karthik into coming to her house.  Karthik gets angry and leaves Aish who is unconcious.  After he leaves, Selva enters, sees Aish on the bed and sprays something on her and rapes her.

 

Gopi and brother are getting ready to go see an interior decorator and waits for Ranjini.  Gopi receives a call from the building owner (fraud) who says that a lady from Chandra's company had offer more money for the property and if Gopi still wants to retain it he has to pay and estra 2 Lakhs.  Ranjini comes in and Gopi tells her about the call and asks her to find out who it is.  Ranjini tells them it wa sher who spoke to the man.  Gopi gets angry and asks her why she is against him starting a business. 

 

 He accuses her of trying to sabotage him ever since he told her about him getting the loan from Loganathan.  Gopi's brother tells him to listen to what Ranjini has to say.  Ranjini tells them about how the man is not the real owner of the building but a tenant who is trying to cheat several people.  Ranjini says she found this out but was not able to tell Gopi earlier because he was not in a position to hear what she has to say.  Mahes and her mother who hea this start to cry saying they have lost everything.  Ranjini tells them not to worry and take Gopi to go talk to Loga.  Loga is with his engineer discussing about some building they are constructing.  Gopi and Ranjini arrive.  Loga smiles when he sees Gopi getting out with a briefcase.  His smile fades when he sees Ranjini getting out and both walk towards him.

 

Selva brings his uncle to a secluded place and tells him that he was successful in Aish matter.  Uncle says it is just a matter of time until everything wprks out for them.  Selva is afraid of what will happen if Chandra finds out.  Uncle says they must neve find out even after Selva marries Aish.  Selva says they can do a DNA test to findout but his uncle assures him how can they do a DNA test when they don't even know who is responsible.  He tells her to forget about the incident and behave normally and both leave.  THODARUM.

 

Ranjini and Gopi meet Loganathan.  Loganathan asks how comehe is there with Ranjini.  Ranjini tells Loga she and Gopi have been friends long before.  Gopi tells Loga he is there to return the money he borrowed and wants their house documents back.. Logo refuses to give because Gopi has signed a 2 year contract  and he must pay interest.  Gopi is shocked and says he has taken all interest before giving the money and the cash is withhim.  Loganathan refuses and both Gopi and him get into an argument.  Ranjini tells Gopi to stop and tells Loga she will deal with him differently and leave.

 

Gopi and Ranjini meet the actual owner Seth and tell him about hte problem and show the lease agreement.  Seth looks at the documents and agrees that it is fraudulent.  He calls Loga and asks him to come see him immdiately.  Loga comes and Seth tells him off for cheating and asks him to return all documents to Gopi and take back his money.  Loga refuses at first but has no choice and relants.

 

Gopi and Ranjini return  with documents and Gopi apologizes for suspecting Ranjini of trying to sabotage him.  Ranjini says it is ok.  They return home and inform the family about them getting back all documents from Loganathan.  Gopi's brother and SIL are happy and brother tells Gopi that they can now work on continuing thei business project.  Brother's MIL objects saying they should not mortgage the house for business.  Gopi also tells his brother he doesn't want to do business now and SIL asks if he is upset because of her words.  Gopi says it is not so.  Brother then tells that it is his house and he has the right to do what he wants.  MIL tells her daughter to be careful and not to trust her husband because all he thinks about ishis brother and wants to leave.  Ranjini and Mahes try to stop her but she refuses to stay and leaves. THODARUM.

 

Loganathan and Rajadevan meet at a construction site and discuss about their mutual enemy Chandra and Ranjini.  Rajadevan wants Chandra destroyed but he is unableto do that because of Ranjini who preventinghim from doing that.  Rajadevan is frustrated because Ranjini refuses to join him no matter what is done to her.  Loganathan wants Ranjini killed because she had caused him a hugh loss in the Seth matter.  Rajadevan tells Loganathan to kill Ranjini but the blame should fall on Chandra hence they kill two birds with one stone.  Both then agree and Loganathan tells Rajadevan he has the right person for the job, his trusted Suria.

 

Loga meets Suria and tells him to kill Ranjini and that he will pay any amount of money.  He says that because of Ranjini his realty business has been destroyed.  Suria refuses to do the job.  Loganathan gets angry and says he had others who will do the job for him. Suria says he will do his best to save Ranjini's life.  Loganathan gets mad and says if he did that  then both of them will be enemies and leave.  Suria meets Ranjini and tells her about her life being in danger.  Ranjini refuses to believe him.  One of Suria's sidekicks comes there and gives an envelope saying Chandra wants him to take care of the person in the photo.  Suria takes it out and asks Ranjini if she knows Satia.  Ranjini says no but Suria tells her not to lie as he knows she meets Satia frequently and pass files to him.  He tells her that Satia's life is also in danger.  Ranjini says she knows Suria is Chandra's man and will not believe anything he says and leaves.

 

Next day, Ranjini comes in an auto and stops at a house.  She sees a few men waiting with weapon and look at her.  Ranjini gets suspicious and walks the other way, men (about 6) follow her and chase her.  Ranjini somehow enters a building under construction and hides upstairs.  She sees one of the men come up and walk towards her.  Ranjini takes a wood and waits.  Suria comes there and fights the men off - Ranjini does not know this.  Ranjini walks away.  Suria fight most of the men and puts them away and walks out only to be stabbed in the stomach.  He tries to fight the man but he pushes Suria and walks away.  Suria is hurt and falls.  THODARUM.

 

Suria stumbles to the street and tries to get help but one one helps him. He stumbles on, falls and faints.  A car stops and out comes Ranjini and her Manager.  She sees him and goes to help him.  Ranjini goes home and tells her mother about the incident.  She tells them it could either be Chandra or Loganathan because she went against him to help Gopi.   Chandra takes Aishwarya to an OBGYN and asks the doctor to abort Aish's child.  Aish cries and begs the doctor not to do it.  The doctor tells Chandra she cannot carry out the procedure without Aish's consent as it is against the law.  She tells Chandra to take Aish home and try and convince her to go thru the procedure.  Aish thanks the doctor.

 

Loganathan and Rajadevan travelling together and Rajadevan tells Logo off for not being able to handle a woman.  Loga says he too is upset but says he is more upset because Suria help Ranjini and fighting his men.  Rajadevan goes home and talks to his eldest son about how smart Ranjini is and that Chandra has been successful because of Ranjini's brains.  Rajadevan's wife come there and asks why are they allways talking about Chandra and Ranjini.  Her son tells her about how they are going down in business.  Rajadevan then thinks about creating a relationship with Chandra's family and decides to ask Aish's hand in marriage for his eldest son.  Wife is also happy to hear this.

 

Chandra at home talking to Kannan about trying to get Aish married soon.  She wants to get a groom from a family with similar status as hers.  Kannnan tells her where they are going to find someone equal to her status.  They hear someone downstairs and Chandra tells Kannan to go and see.  Kannan goes down and is shocked to see Rajadevan and his family with a tray of flowers and fruits.  He asks why he came.  Rajadevan tells about his intention and Kannan tells him to forget it as they are not ready to get Chandra's daughter married.  He tells Rajadevan to leave and raises his voice.  Rajadevan tells Kannan he can raise his voice higher than Kannan's and tells him to call Chandra.  Chandra comes down as is shocked to see Rajadevan.  THODARUM.
