Chandra comes down and sees Rajadevan and family in her living. She notices Mrs. Rajadevan carrying the varusai thatu. Both ladies smile at each other. Kannan tells Chandra they are there to propose his son Sathish for Aish. He tells her to send them away. Chandra welcomes them and asks them to take a seat. Rajadevan and wife say they are looking for a suitable girl for their son Satish and the marriage broker has informed them about Aish. Mrs. Rajadevan tells Chandra that she is the one who suggested to propose to Aish. She understands they have animosity in business but this is different. She hopes Chandra forgets about them being adversaries in business and accept their proposal.

Chandra says she accepts and tells them as they came suddenly, she is not able to get Aish ready. Mrs. Rajadevan says it is alright as they have seen her before. Selva looks desparately at Kannan. Kannan tells Chandra not to listen or accept because Rajadevan must have alterior motives. Chandra asks the visitors wat they would like to drink. Mrs. Rajadevan says if Chandra excepts, they will eat at her house. Chandra tells Kannan to asks their maid to prepare food. Another shock for Selva. Aish is upstairs watching and listening to the whole thing. After the visitors leave. Aish comes down and tells her mother if this wedding goes thry, she will have to tell everyone present at the wedding that she is pregnant with another man's child and this would be a total embarrasment for Chandra and leaves. Chandra swears, she will not allow this to thappen.

Selva meets with Kannan and ask him what is going on. They were under the impression they could change Chandra's mind slowly and make her agree to Selva-Aish marriage. Kannan says they will just have to stop this wedding before it moves further. He tells Selva to see Sathish and tell him about Aish's pregnancy. Selva is afraid of what would happen if Chandra comes to know that he told Sathish. Kannan says they will handle it when the time comes and for him to go see Sathish immediately. Satish is in his office and Selva goes to see him and congratulates him. He starts saying that Satish has a big heart to accept Aish. Satish is confused and Selva tells him that he is great because he is marrying a girl who is already pregnant. Satish is totally shocked and tells Selva not to lie. Selva says there is no reason to lie because it i the truth. He says Aish was in love with some guy and now is pregnant. He once again congratulates Satish to getting a ready made family and leaves.

Rajadevan and Satish come to Chandra's house and starts shouting her name. Chandra comes out and asks what is wrong. Satish tells about what he was told about Aish. Chandra is shocked but she tells them she did not intentionally hide the fact. They had come suddenly and she was at a loss and would have told them before any other preparations had been planned. Kannan and Selva arrive. Satish says it was Selva who had told him. Chandra is shocked and slaps Selva for telling people their family problems. Kannan stops her saying it was him to asked Selva to inform Satish because he did not want them to hear from others. Chandra tells him to shut up and tells Rajadevan that she never thought to lie to him and says it is up to him to decide what he wants to do and that she will accept any decision he makes. THODARUM.

Karthik gets on his bike and gets ready to leave temple. Aish drives hercar and knocks him down. Karthik screams at her for following him everywhere. Aish comes out and asks him to accept her as she is carrying his baby. She admits to torturing him but the pregnancy is true and the father is Karthik. Karthik tells her he is not responsible for her state. Aish warns him that she will kill herself and takes out a can of petrol and pours over her and says she will torch herself. Karthik tells her to go ahead. She douse herself and then spray on Karthik. Karthik tells her to stop. Aish pushes him and starts to light the match. Chandra comes there and shouts at Aish and tells Karthik not to meet Aish even if she wants to see him. Chandra tells him she will finish him off if he tries to see her daughter again. Chandra then drags Aish to her car and leave.

Karthik again tries to leave the temple. Some men come there and want to talk to him. Karthik asks what about and the men start ot chase him. Karthik runs and at some point the men catch him and beat him up. Karthik again runs away and the men chase him.

At Ranjini's house, Rajagopal and friends are talking about Ranjini's wedding. Ranjini comes back and sees everyone waiting and asks what is wrong. Saradha tells her that Karthik has not returned since morning. Rajagopal goes out looking for him but comes back with no news. Ranjini then calls Karthik's friend and is told that Karthik did not see him that day. It is late and Saradha is worried that something bad could have happened and this might stop the wedding and cries. Ranjini starts thinking about Chandra telling her she would take out Ranjini's family one by one starting with Karthik. THODARUM.

Ranjini goes to Chandra's house. Chandra asks if she has come to ask for money for her wedding and says she will definitely give her as she like Ranjini. Ranjini goes straight to the point and asks her where Karthik is. Ranjini says Chandra's issues are with her and not Karthik, so why go after him. Chandra says the issue between her and Ranjini is professional but Karthik has played with her personal life. Chandra says she had warned them that he should not meet with Aish at any time but he did not heed her advise and that is why she had asked her men to take care of him. Her men could have taken it seriously and may have finished him off. Chandra tells Ranjini to look for him somewhere and might find his body and goes upstairs. Ranjini shouts Chandramathi and when Chandra hears this gets shocked and goes downstairs. Kannan who is there asks Ranjini how date she call Chandra by her given name. Ranjini gets hold of Kannan's shirt and tells him to be careful and pushes him away. Ranjini tells Chandra if anything should happen to her brother, Chandra would see a different Ranjini altogether and leaves. Aish is watching and hearing everything from upstairs.

Aish goes to the police station and reports to the inspector about her mother kidnapping Karhtik and hiding him somewhere. She tells him her mother is Chandramathi and the inspector seems to be afraid after hearing the name. Ranjini comes there and sees Aish. She too tells the inspector the same thing. Inspector goes inside and calls Chandra.

Chandra comes to the police station with Kannan and Selva. She tells Ranjini that her brother deserved what he got for interfereing in her daughter's life. Ranjini says if that is so, bring Karhtik there and they can find out the truth. Chandra tells Kannan to take Aish away and gives a complaint to the inspector saying Ranjini kidnapped her daughter. Inspector takes the complaint letter. Ranjini also writes a complaint and gives it to the inspector telling him to take action and if he does not, he will have to face the consequences and leaves.

Karthik is tied up in a building and some guys are surrounding him. Karthik asks why he is being held and says tomorrow is his sister's wedding and he has to go. One of the men tells him to shut up and talk onlyif he wants food. Outside a car comes and stops - Rajadevan and son Satish get down and two of the men go meet them. Rajadevan tells his son, he just found out that Aish and Karthik had been in love and he is the father of the child. He is holding Karthik captive until Aish-Satish wedding takes place, because he is afraid that Chandra might change her mind about their wedding plans. THODARUM.
