About the show

This story is of boy named Shaurya, it's a story about bravery and courage and the fight against injustice, and also a story of love and pride. It tells us about a man's fight against every evil, and his commitment to help and save the poor, and also how a jungle boy falls in love with a royal princess.

He is destiny's child, born to a royal family but lives in a jungle with the villagers, unaware of his real identity and royal roots, a secret well guarded for years by a few who know and protect him. (Veersain and Granny).

Shaurya's parents were blessed with him as a child 18 years ago, but the boy was not fortunate enough to enjoy the riches of the palace, and instead was destined to live and bear the hardships of the jungle. But as he is a special child, every experience makes him stronger and tougher. Also, Veersain has trained him well, for only he knows what lies ahead for this young prince in disguise.

On the other hand the evil king Takshak and his son Simha are no less than a curse for the mankind. With their ever growing greed and power they are a living hell for the people of their land. From black magic to black deeds, from heavy taxes to massacres, they practice every thing which may make them mightier and stronger.. they are on a path to immortality and for sure need to be stopped.

Takshak's daughter, Princess Suhani is quite opposite from her father and brother. She has a heart of gold and holds a special bond with villagers. It's a story of Shaurya and Suhani's love and how two human beings, who are separated by class, are destined to meet one day and fall in love eventually.

Would SHAURYA be able to match up to the powers of TAKSHAK?
Would Shaurya ever come to know of his true identity?
Would Suhani and Shaurya's magical love story bloom, despite the presence of dark clouds cast by the evil forces?
Would Shaurya get his empire back from the clutches of Takshak and bring justice to his father and regain his lost pride?

Character Sketch

Shuarya-He is a young teenager from the Bheel tribe. He is a very powerful person but is completely unaware of his own powers and acts sometimes bullish, he doesn't think much before acting. He is impulsive. His decisions are straight from the heart. He is a very family oriented person, who loves his parents a lot. Though he respects his father, he is also very scared of him. His father, Veersain is the Chief of the tribe, and a person of great authority and leadership skills. Shaurya looks upto his father and wants to emulate him but finds himself falling short. His father has a lot of expectations out of him and right from the beginning has been training him for a legacy. What the legacy is and why does Shaurya have to fulfill it, is something that Veersain has never discussed with him. This also makes Shaurya a bit unsure of himself, as he does not know whether he will ever be able to live upto his father's expectations. Despite this, he knows that his father loves him a lot and cannot live without him.

A problem with Shaurya is also, that he is extremely goofy around girls. Every time he sees a beautiful girl, he gets tongue tied...he goes a little weak kneed. The only girl with whom he is comfortable and his natural self is Rati, but that's because Rati is his childhood friend and they have grown up together - she is almost a male buddy to him. Otherwise, given the way he behaves around girls, they all find him a loser, inspite of his good looks. He cannot stand injustice at all and will go to any extent to fight for that cause. When he turns twenty, Shaurya will come to know of his legacy and the true extent of his powers. Shaurya then realizes that he has all the qualities embodied by his group members but needs to channelise them correctly. He, also, more than the others, needs to understand his responsibilities and prove himself a leader. He has to learn to put the welfare of others before his own personal needs.

Suhani-Knows her bearings and her position but is not driven by it. Appears snooty, but only to men. Her inherent bheel spirit will not let her be subject to anyone, least of all to a man. She is the most beautiful girl in and around the Kingdom and thus have many Prince wooing her (not in a sense of marriage proposal-she might be too young for that) but she rejects them all primarily because she doesn't like the royal clan since she has seen her father and brother's attitude and their cruel streaks. She is therefore absolutely convinced that she does not want to spend the rest of her life with a person like them.

She loves playing pranks on all the princes who come to woo her. But covers it with an air of royalty, making her pranks look very accidental. She is a free spirit who loves the forest and likes the bheel people. She cares for them and she gets into trouble with her father because of that. Therefore she goes to great lengths to reject her suitors. She has seen the sadness of her mother's life and she has been bearing father and son's overbearing approach to everything. At the same time, she keeps her distance from the commoners, as she knows the price that the commoner will have to pay if her father or brother come to know that she has interacted with them. She is completely unaware of her true identity, and this makes her wonder why she is such a misfit in this world.

Simha-He is strong, powerful and a great warrior but extremely conceited. He believes he is invincible. But he is inherently an insecure man. Reason being that ever since he was a child, he has seen his father fear the birth of a boy who will overpower him. His father has hated that anonymous boy with more vigor than what he has loved him. And somewhere the reason why he wants to keep reiterating the fact that he cannot be defeated is because he wants to show his father that he is stronger than the boy he heard of as a child. He wants his father to believe that no man living can ever overpower him. He wants that kind of recognition and trust from his father but never gets it. So even though he doesn't really know who that "messiah" will be, with every man he kills he hopes he has killed that one. His longing to be better an anonymous man makes him almost insane because he does not really KNOW who his villain is and yet hopes he will finish him someday. He is ruthless, crafty, and needs no logic or reason to suppress and overthrow, to hurt, to destroy or kill. In his vision of life, he alone exists and all others who live, are mere pawns who exist for him.

Towards his father: He loves his father but has never been loved enough. He tells his father about his achievements and while Nandsen is happy for him, he never is satisfied enough until he knows that one boy is killed. Towards his mother: He hardly ever respects her. His lust for power makes him view her as a weakling, though what he does not know is that he is just an extension of her: someone who longs for love and recognition from a man (Nandsen) who is incapable of ever giving it. Towards his sister Suhani: He does not know she is adopted. She believes a woman should know her place in society and she doesn't. He does not like her visits to the commoners. And even though he admonishes her for the same, he never hates her for it. She is probably the closest he can reach to liking someone. He is not ruthless or cruel towards her but then it is beyond him to ever be a loving or caring brother either. He is just hard and stiff, and wishes she weren't so soft.

Rati-She is the brain wave of the group who makes the plans for every mission. She is completely organized in her work and doesn't like things happening against the plan, because that makes her feel like she is losing control of the situation, and yet if Shaurya were to ask her to think of some new plan of action on the spot, she can come up with one. She takes pride in the fact that Shaurya trusts her decisions. In fact her sense of confidence stems from there. If Shaurya were to lose his trust in her, she might lose trust in herself.  Needless to add she loves him and is extremely protective. She tries to full proof the plan as much as possible so that Shaurya is never hurt and is somehow always prepared with a first aid kit (like jadibutis, syrups etc.), which she seems to magically produce from her little bag that is slung around her waist.  She is tom boyish and that is also another reason that Shaurya did not see the feminine grace in her.

Chitwan-On the battlefield he is Shaurya's right hand.  He can sacrifice his life if need be. He is completely a faithful friend. He firmly believes that his purpose in life is to help Shaurya in his missions. He is Shaurya's best friend and confidant, they are the oldest chums amongst the group and hold special regard for each other. Even though he loves Rati dearly he can sense her loyalty lies towards Shaurya and respects that. The only time he will step in is when he feels Rati really needs a friend (when Shaurya and the princess fall in love).

Cheeku-He is the informer in the group. Almost like a spy. He can stealthily move around like a cat without anyone getting to know. He is normally the one who puts his life in extreme danger because he enters into the enemy camp, might even be eating with them, but somehow manages to get the right information. He's good with disguises. This way no one recognizes him. It is hard to tell when Bhora joins the group or when he leaves because he is so silent. And probably the only time the group realizes that he is with them is when he cuts in with a comment. He is a good observer. He knows when Shaurya goes weak-kneed and likes pulling his leg for it. He knows Rati's feelings for Shaurya and Chitwa's feelings for her. He observes everything and is quick to comment with his subtle humor. His jokes are wise cracks and smooth one liners that lend humour to situations and equations. They are more of teasing lines than statements but remains inherently good humored nonetheless. He can't stand an uncomfortable moment in the group and likes to cut in with a joke. Most of the pranks in the group are initiated by him and the others love him for it.

Dara-He doesn't like working on an empty stomach hence there is no urgency in him. He is a bit laid back on that front but extremely diligent with his craft nonetheless. He is also the most happy go lucky character who can laugh at smallest of issues and gravest of issues and thus becomes our comic relief.

Princes Suhani's friend-Her close confidant and partner in crime. She gets bullied into helping the princess and is usually the one getting the brunt of it but she loves Suhani nonetheless and will do anything for her. She gives prior information about the suitors to Suhani so that the princess can test them accordingly. She is also like a messenger for the princess. She\'s always full of news and full of gossip. She gets nervous easily, mostly due to Suhani's pranks and situations where they get trapped due to the princess..

Veersani-Shaurya's father, Veersain is a very loyal and just man, he is the chief of the Bheelhaar tribe. He is a very powerful warrior and has achieved perfection in every art of war. He is a skilled archer and an ace fencer. He is the savior and the protector of the entire Bheel tribe. We introduce him as a very strict chief who knows how to discipline his men. The entire basti looks up to him and is the most respectable person. Though he is really strict from outside and gives Shaurya and his friend's real tough tasks as their punishment, we realize that from inside he really cares for Shaurya. Veersain is protective about Shaurya as he feels that Shaurya is not yet ready for the task which the destiny has set for him, and feels that he still needs to be trained a lot before he finally jumps into his mission.

Takshak-He is the King of Kalpi Rajya and the most ruthless ruler to have ever born in the world; He is a shrewd King who wants to conquer all the neighboring countries by hook or by crook. He thinks that he is the most powerful man in the world and one day he will conquer the whole world but his Minister has made a prediction that he is yet to find a match for himself, A day would come when a chosen one would stand in front of him as a hurdle, and would put an end to his atrocities. Takshak though doesn't believe in his predictions but somewhere it does bother him and thus leaves no stone unturned and kills whoever comes in his way of becoming the ultimate conqueror.
