Will Bobby Deol 'strike' it big?

Mumbai: Amidst all the gloom over the producer-multiplex owners' impasse, there is one actor who sounds quite upbeat, and that's Bobby Deol. Speaking to DNA, Bobby says he is likely to be a beneficiary of the strike that starts on April 4.

"Any film that releases just before the strike will benefit. Though there would be no new releases after April 4, movies that have already released will be allowed to run. The multiplexes will not pull them off," says Bobby, whose next film K Sera Sera's Ek - The Power Of One releases this Friday.

He adds, "So many films are made in a year and everybody looks for the right release dates. Some films end up getting released at the wrong time. Forget about the strike, IPL and elections are coming up. Any film getting released during that time is bound to get affected."

However, Bobby rues that often actors don't get the desired release dates from producers. "As an actor you can only advise the producers. But the final say is in their hands. After a point you can't do anything about it," he says.

So what about the much-hyped home production in which all the Deols will be seen together? Bobby says the project is very much on track and might include one more Deol as well.

"It might include Abhay as well. We are finalising the script right now and you might just hear about it soon," he ends.
