Bollywood Khandaans : Salman Khan |
Salim Khan's family: Salim Khan made his Bollywood debut in Teesri Manzil in 1966. He acted in two more films before becoming one half of the legendary writing jodi: Salim-Javed, who have written iconic films such as Deewar, Sholay, Don, Zanjeer and Trishul. Salim married a Hindu lady Sushila, alias Salma, in 1964. He has four children with her: Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira. Salman Khan is a superstar while Arbaaz and Sohail have been less successful. Salim then married yesteryears' item girl Helen in the late 1970's and he maintains two wives. Salman is the only son who is not married. He is going steady with Katrina Kaif. Arbaaz married model Malaika Arora and has one son. Alvira Khan is married to former actor Atul Agnihotri and she is a fashion designer. Salim also has an adopted daughter, Arpita. |

The Bachchan Parivaar: The late poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan's son Amitabh Bachchan, one of the biggest superstars of our times, made a little-known debut in Saat Hindustani in 1969. He then etched a name for himself in Bollywood history with super hit films like Sholay, Deewar, Zanjeer, Shahenshah and Don, among many others. He married Jaya Badhuri in 1973 and they have two children: Shweta and Abhishek. Shweta is married in the Nanda family and lives in Delhi. She has two children. Abhishek is a Bollywood star married to Aishwarya Rai. They have no children. Amitabh has a younger brother, Ajitabh, with whom his relationship is strained. |

Surinder Kapoor's Khandaan: Surinder Kapoor entered Bollywood as a secretary to actress Geeta Bali and graduated to become a film producer. Out of his three sons, Anil, Boney and Sanjay, Anil has been most successful. Sanjay Kapoor didn't make it as a Bollywood actor. Boney Kapoor is a film producer. Sridevi is his second wife and they have two daughters: Janhvi and Khushi. Boney has two children, Arjun and Anshula from his previous marriage to Mona Kapoor. Anil Kapoor has been married to Sunita Kapoor since 1984 and they have three children: Sonam, Riya and Harsh. Sonam is an upcoming Bollywood star and Riya is working behind the scenes as an assistant director. Harsh is in school. Anil also has his own production company. |

The Roshans: Roshan Lal Nagrath was a legendary music composer of the 1950s and 1960s. After he passed away in 1967, his sons Rakesh and Rajesh carried his legacy forward. Rakesh became a Bollywood actor but turned producer and director after acting for over 15 years. He has made hit films like Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya and Krrishh. His son Hrithik, who debuted in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai is a superstar. Rakesh only directs films that star his son. Rajesh Roshan is a music composer best remembered for the soundtrack of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Kya Kehna. Rakesh, who is married to J Om Prakash's daughter Pinky, has a daughter as well. Her name is Sunaina and she is a film producer with her father. Hrithik married Suzanne Khan, Sanjay Khan's daughter, and they have two sons together. |

Feroz Khan's family: The dashing Feroz Khan made his Bollywood debut in 1962. He has directed and starred in hit films like Dharmatma, Qurbani and Dayavan, among many others. He was last seen in Welcome, alongside Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. His recent films, Janasheen and Prem Aggan, have been commercial disasters. He was married to Sundari Khan with whom he had two children: Fardeen Khan, a Bollywood actor and Laila Khan, a painter and socialite. Fardeen is married to Mumtaz'a daughter, Natasha. He has three uncles: Sanjay Khan, Akbar Khan and Sameer Khan. Sanjay Khan was also a star in his time, with hit films like Mela, Nagin and Upaasna. He turned director and producer and starred in films like Chandi Sona and Abdullah. He then turned to TV and made the hit series The Sword of Tipu Sultan. He is married to Zarine Khan and has four children: Farah, Simone, Suzanne and Zayed. Farah is a jewellery designer married to DJ Aqeel, Suzanne is an interior designer married to Hrithik Roshan and Zayed Khan is a Bollywood actor, married to childhood sweetheart Mallika. They have a son. Neither Feroz's nor Sanjay's sons have been as successful as their fathers. |

THE Kapoor Khandaan: This blue-eyed family is the blue blood of the Indian film industry as it is the first family of Bollywood. Prithviraj Kapoor was the first to enter Bollywood in 1929. His sons Raj, Shammi and Shashi followed suit and carried his legacy forward. Raj's children, Rishi, Randhir, and Rajeev also got into films and have been actors, directors and producers at different points of time. His daughter Ritu Kapoor-Nanda is the CEO of Escolife, an insurance company. She is Shweta Bachchan-Nanda's mother-in-law. Rishi's son, Ranbir, with Neetu Kapoor is hot property in Bollywood while his daughter Riddhima is married. Randhir's daughters, Karisma and Kareena are superstars. Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor were the stars of their time. Shashi's son Kunal couldn't make it in Bollywood. He is married to Ramesh Sippy's daughter Sheena. His sister Sanjana Kapoor is responsible for reviving and running Prithvi Theatre at Janki Kutir, Juhu, Mumbai. His brother Karan Kapoor lives in London with his wife and child. Shammi Kapoor's son Aditya is a director. |
