Ekta is game for thrills-n-chills

Ekta Kapoor deviates from family drama; she is set to produce a thriller-supernatural show

Years ago Ekta Kapoor had produced a thriller series Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat and the longrunning Kahin Kissi Roz, but she soon stopped tapping this genre further because she knew that their shelf life is limited. The genre she has ruled is the family drama genre. But recently, after it was curtains down for some of her serials, Ekta is set to make a thriller supernatural show Koi Ane Ko Hai.

Our source close to Ekta revealed, "Ekta has never done a fictional supernatural and this show will deal with supernatural element, and will be a first of its kind of show from Balaji Telefilms. The show will be based on real life incidents and experiences. Ekta is leaving no stone unturned to make it a success. It will be an episodic story show in the form of a mini series where every story will go on for around 24 to 26 episodes."

Ekta Kapoor confirmed the story and said, "Yes I am making the show but details will be revealed jointly by Balaji Telefilms and the channel soon."
Ashwini Yardi, programming head of the channel, said, "This is the first time we are working with Balaji Telefilms and Ekta Kapoor, and we are very happy with the association. The show will be aired on the weekends from Friday to Sunday and we will start working on it in the near future."
