The last line in this article caught my eye.....Funny. But seriously can't these people fnd someone who really did something for the country and give them these awards and leave the entertainment awards for actors.....

Katrina Kaif gets nominated for the Best Indian Award

Katrina Kaif has been nominated for the Best Indian award by a TV channel. Kat is the only actress from Bollywood to get nominated for it this year and the second female after President Pratibha Patil. In the past, the only other actress from B-town to get a nomination was Aishwarya Rai. Katrina says, "It is just such a great honour to be even considered to be in the same league as these great achievers.

It is a very special feeling and there are people from all walks of life who are being considered. Manmohan Singh, Aamir Khan and Mrs Patil are big successes in their fields and I have the most respect for them all. I know chances of me winning this is very bleak but I am just humbled to be even thought about." Erm, congrats and all that but is Kat even Indian to be nominated?

Her father is an Indian, therefore, her nationality is Indian. The reporter did not no Kat's background.😆

she is not even India, i am sure there are more well deserving people in India to receive this award who actually help India become better in some way.
lol no actor/actress should be nominated for this award they just make money, nothing for the public

Just because she use to live in britain does not make her less indian...what is peoples problem shes worked hard being a outsider not knowing the language to get to where she is.

umm what did she do to even deserve the nomination??...there are many others out there who actually did something for india...they are ignore simply because people don't know them....its about time these things are changed!!

Congrats to her...I think if she can come to a foreign country and change herself completely to become part of that society, then being nominated must mean a lot to her... She could't even speak the mother tongue and now she's learnt..lol

Are they serious? 😲, no offence to Katrina, but she is not 100% indian, she can't even speak good hindi, they could find many others who deserve this award, but I don't think that Katrina deserves this award!.........
