Pandian goes to Ranjini's office to see her.  He tells her that he is very grateful for the help in his latest case.  He says he always felt useless and is treated badly by his wife and FIL.  Only now after the success and his name appearing in all tabloids that his wife and FIL are respecting him and treating him like King.  Ranjini says she did nothing, it was Pandian who had given the clue that lead to the arrest of the culprits.  Ranjini tells Pandian to be sincere in his duties and not to take any bribe from others who are trying to get away from the law.  Pandian promises to be a sincere officer and salutes Ranjini.  Ranjini tells him that now he is truly 'Terror' Pandian.  Pandian takes leave.

 

Vikram and a few other officers go to Ranjini's house and call for Rajagopal.  Saradha calls her husband and he comes out smiling.  He sees Vikram and asks if he had brought his daughter's reinstatement.  Vikram tell him that he is there to arrest him in the case of diamond smuggling in dead bodies.  Rajagopal tells him he is not involved but Vikram rudely takes Rajagopal by his colar and leaves.  Saradha asks him to wait while she calls Ranjini and again Vikram rudely says he will wait for Ranjini to come to him and drags Rajagopal away.

 

Ranjini in the office looking at  some files with Dorothy and talking to someone on the cell.  The phone gets disconnected and she tells Dorothy to charge her phone and give it to her.  Dorothy goes out and another employee comes in to see Ranjini about some expense file.  Ranjini goes back to work.  Ranjini's phone rings and Dorothy answers.  Thinking it is Ranjini, Sarada tells her that Rajagopa has been taken away byt the customs officers and wants her to come home immediately.  Dorothy excuses herself saying she will inform Ranjini immediately and disconnects.  Dorothy goes in a hurry towards Ranjini's room when Shekar walks out and sees Doraothy.  He asks her why the hurry and Dorothy tells him about Ranjini's father being arrested and that Ranjini is needed at home urgently.  Shekar tells Dorothy that Ranjini had been very angry when he left on personal work and now wants to see how Ranjini will go home on her personal work.  Dorothy goes in and tells Ranjini the news.  Ranjini is shocked.  She gets up and walks outside with the other officer and is met by Shekar.  Shekar asks her if she need to go home immediately and for sure she will be giving him the work that has not been done.  Ranjini tells him that the accounts officer has brought the files for expenses and wants Shekar to bring the other files and come to the cabin immediately so that they can discuss.  She then chides Dorothy for answering her phone and says she is even more angry that Dorothy chose to discuss her personal affairs with others.  Shekar just looks at Ranjini and she tells him to get the files immediately and follow her and she leaves.  Ranjini telsl them that to her duty is more important than personal work.  After Ranjini leaves, Dorothy says that Ranjini has really shamed Shekar and that he should wash his face as it looks bad.

 

Vikram, Pandian and Nithya questioning Rajagopal.  They each take run in asking him how many girls he had inroduced to the travel agency to go overseas and what they had been smugling.  Rajagopal is confused and  says he doesn't know anything.  Vikram tells him to answer their questions truthfully.  Rajagopal says that he knows about the customs department as his daughter is a sincere officer there and she would definitely make them pay for what they are doing to him.  Vikram laughs and tells Rajagopal to take care of the case against Ranjini first before talking big.  Rajagopal then says Ranjini is working with Chandramathi and both Vikram and Nithya are shocked. 

Vikram then tells Rajagopal he has 2 hours to change his mind.

 

Saradha is worried and asks Karthik to go see his father an bring him back.  Both Karthik adn Meena say no need to worry as Rajagopal deserves whatever treatment he is getting.  Karthik tells his mother how his father had behaved when Ranjini was arrested.  She tells him they should not talk about their father that way.  Karthik says his father always says tha the padis $30,000 as advance for the house and felt that he had got the money illegaly.  Saradha tells him it is not so as he had got the money by pawning some necklace.  Karthik and Meena get angry because the necklace was bought with the money Ranjini earned and his father had philandered all her earning and had ill treated her.  He refuses to go check on his father saying he would not be allowed in or even worse would be arrested. 

 

Ranjini returns and her mother asks where Rajagopal is.  Ranjini tells her that it is impossible to get him out now.  They would only be able to bring Rajagopal back when he is handed over to the police.  Ranjini tells her mother that she had already spoken to Sathia and he will bail their father out when he is taken to the police station.  Ranjini says she cannot ask for help from Customs Chief Ravichandran as he is very straight forward.  Ranjini also says she cannot go there and tell them to release their father.  Saradha is sad and goes in crying.  Karthik tells Ranjini to just leave their father in jail for a few days to teach him a lesson.  He then tells her about the necklace and Ranjini says she already knew about it and had told their mother not to tell them.  She tells Karthik they cannot just see Rajagopal being treated badly as he is their father.  Ranjini tells Karthik to leave the matter to her and she will take care of it.  THODARUM.

 

Sathia bails Rajagopal out and takes him in his car.  As usual Rajagopal starts to talk bad about Ranjini not helping him and she had on purpose let him be kept in jail for a day.  Satia tells him that it is because of Ranjini that he is out today.  Finally not able to stand Rajagopal's useless talk, leaves him and drives off.

 

Saradha is crying because her husband is not home yet.  Ranjini tells her mother not to cry as her father would be back shortly.  Rajagopal walks in and starts shouting and saying if both mother and daughter are happy that he has been sent to jail.  Ranjini tells her father not to talk like that but Rajagopal starts accusing Ranjini of making him stay in jail just like she did.  He says he is so troubled by the problems his family is causing him, that he wants to leave them and go somewhere.  Karthik walks in and says this is the best thing he has said so far and tells him to leave immediately as he is a useless father anyways.  Saradha gets upset and slaps Karthik.

 

Saradha tells Karthik that Rajagopal is their father and they should respect him.  She then tells them that she would leave with her husband and she will take care of him.  She tells Karthik not to forget that in future when they get married they would need a father.  She also says if she leaves with her husband they would all be orphans.  Ranjini tells her mother not to say they will orphans ever again.  She tells her father not to think about leaving them.  No matter how her shouts at them, she says they are happy in a way.  Rajagopal just stands there quietly.  Ranjini tells Karthik to apologize to their parents and Karthik does.  Rajagopal walks in quietly.  Saradha too apologized to her son for hitting him.

 

Priya takes coffee to Rajalakshmi and gives it her.  Rajalaksmi asks if there is enough sugar in it and Priya tells her she herself drank the coffee before bringing to her.  Rajalakhsmi gets angry and tells Priya to take the coffee back and make her fresh coffee.  Rajalakshmi then sneezes and Priya cooks up a story about how her grandfather died because of szeezes.  Rajalakshmi gets worried.  Aishwarya comes in and tells Priya to take some refreshment for her friend who is downstairs while she goes to freshen up.

 

Meena is waiting downstairs for Aishwarya.  Chandra's brother comes downstairs deep in conversation with someone on the phone.  Meena turns and sees him and recognizes he is the man who tried to molest her while she was captive.  She gets frightened and goes behind the couch and hides.  Suresh comes down and sits on the sofa and talks to someone who asks him about some treat and money.  Suresh says he is Chandra's brother and he has the money.  Meena who is listening to this is shocked fo find out that Suresh is Chandra's brother.  Priya comes with some biscuits for Meena and asks Suresh where Aishwarya's friend.  Suresh tells her that there is no one and leaves.  Priya walks around and see Meena who gets up and leaves in a hurry.  Priya talks to herself saying she knows Meena left after seeing Suresh.  Aishwarya comes downstairs and asks for Meena and Priya tells her she left in a hurry.

 

Chandra and her mother in a beauty parlor.  Rajalakhsmi asks wha tis the need for her to go to the beauty parlor and Chandra tells her that she should look good all the time as she is a VIP'smother.  Rajalakhsmi then tells Chandra that she feels they are now in trouble after Ranjini was taken in by Chandra.  She asks Chandra why keep Ranjini when ther eis no use for her.  Chandra tells her mother that Ranjini is like a tiger and she is is the trainer.  Rajalakshmi tells her daughter to be careful.  The beautician comes back to remove the facial mask and Chandra tells her mother they will talk later.

 

Meena runs into the house crying and tlels her mother that she saw the man who tried to molest her when she was kidnapped and held captive.  Karthik too comes there and she tells him it is Suresh, Chandra's brother and she saw him at Chandra's house.  Karthik gets angry and takes a club to beat him up.  Sarada tries to stop him.  Hearing the noise, Ranjini walks down and asks what the commotion is about.  Karthik tells about Suresh and that he is Chadnra's brother.  He tells her that he and Chandra are the ones who kidnapped Meena.  Ranjini is shocked.  THODARUM.

 

Karthik wants to go beat Chandramathi's brother Selva.  Ranjini stops him saying they should not be hasty.  She tells him she will take care of the matter.  Kasthikthrows the club down and walks into his room in anger.  Ranjini hugs Meena and promises to make Selva and Chandra for eveything that she went thru and every tears she shed when in captive.

 

Chandra's uncle chats with MLA Ekambaram.  MLA says he is MLA to the outside world but is just Ekabaramt to Chandra. Chandramathi comes there and Ekambaram stands up while Chandra sits down.  Chandra tells Egambaram about her star project and wants MLA to take care of everything so that everything goes smoothly.  She asks her uncle to give an invitation to the MLA.

 

Ranjini comes out and sees her mother standing in the kitchen. She asks for tiffin but mother just keeps quiet.  She asks her mother if something is wrong.  Karthik comes there and tells Ranjini that since she is not going to work, their motheris not making any breakfast.  Ranjini asks what he is talking about.   Karthik and Meena do not want Ranjini to work for Chandra.  He is afraid that they maydo harm to Ranjini.  He tells Ranjini to stop work for the sake of their mother's  peace of mind.  Ranjini says she cannot stop going to work.  She assures them she will take action on both  Chandra and her brother by taking her own steps.  Karthik and Meena don't agree but Ranjini leaves saying she will take care of everythingand leaves.

 

Ranjini goes to Chandra's house and yells for Selva. Selva comes down and Ranjini beats him up and threatens to kill him kidnapping her sister. (Only imagination!).  Ranjini stands staring.  Selva comes down and asks what is wrong.  Ranjini says she is amazed at Selva's talents.  Selva is confused.  Chandra comes there and tells Ranjini to take care of other office work while she goes out on an important work.  Suresh asks for $50,000 but Chandra tells him she will asks their mother to give $5000 for expenses.  Suresh says it is not enough but Ignores him and leaves.  After Chandra leaves, Ranjini immediately pretends to answer a call on her cell and scold her brother to depend on her all the time. She tells him to do some business and come up in live.  Selva listens to this conversation intently.  Ranjini hangs up telling her brother to stop disturbing her at work.  After Ranjini leaves, Selva thinks it maybe a good idea to do business.

 

Aiswarya goes to Meena's house.  Sarada sees her but ignores and goes away. aiswarya is surprised and thinks that Saradha might have found out about her love for Karthik. She then sees Meena and asks her why she left her house in a hurry and did not come to college.  Meena tells Aishwarya to leave from her house.  Aishwarya is shocked and asks why.  Meena tells her about Selva and Chandra had kidnapped her and held her captive. She also tell about Selva trying to molest her and how Chandra had pretended to save her.  Aishwarya is totally shocked.  THODARUM.

Jan 13 (Tues):

 

Selva meets with the agent at the bar and tells him he has the funds ready and wants to meet the seller.  Agent wants his commission after the deal is done.  Selva promises 2% but agent asks for 5% and he agrees to take Selva to meet the agent the next day.

 

Satia and his manservant disguise as Sheikhs.  Satia is Abdul and his manservant is now Ansari.  Doorbell rings and Ansari opens the door and welcomes agent and Selva.  Sheikh Abdul tells about his life in Dubai and that he now lives in India and goes to Dubai once a month.  Selva asks about the gold biscuit.  Ansari gives him a biscuit and tells him that it is of pure 24 ct cold.  Selva wants to take it to check its authencity.  Sheikh refuses saying he cannot trust his gold biscuit without colateral.  He wants Selva to leave the money or driver license.  Selva refuses at first then agrees.  Before he leaves, Sheikh tells Selva he is willing to give his gold biscuits for 60 lakhs but Selva says 50 lakhs. Sheikh refuses to reduce.  Selva tells the agent he only 50 lakhs and the agent tells him not to worry but to arrange the 10 lakhs as the gold is worth 1 million.  Selva agrees and leaves his DL with the sheik and takes the gold biscuit with him.

 

Selva takes the gold biscuit to a goldsmith and asks him to check the weight and authencity.  The goldsmith tells him that it is pure 24 ct swiss gold and asks where  he got it from.  Selva says it is not for him to know.  Goldsmith tells Selva that he will buy the gold biscuit anytime Selva wants to sell.  Selva thanks him and leaves thinking about how to raise another 10 lakhs,

 

Ranjini is in her mottai maadi looking at the invitation to Chandramathi's IT Project opening ceremony.  She thinks about what Satia told her about Neelambari's dream to build a school and other buildings for their estate employees and others.  Neelambari promises to destroy Chandramathi's dream project no matter what,  She promises to bring down her building at the opening ceremony and dash Chandramathi's dream forever' THODARUM'

 

Selva rides alone on his bike.  Karthik and his friends (covering their head with helmet) hit him with clubs until he faints.  While hitting him Karthik tells him it is a lesson for taking 10 lakhs from his talaivar and cheating him.  Sangeetha brings her MIL to a house.  MIL asks why she is brought her there.  Sangeetha says this is where they are going to live because she has to rent their house in order to pay off the debts to the loan sharks.  Supni comes out and welcomes them.  MIL says she does not wnat to live in the house belonging to Supni.  Sangeetha explains that every house she has looked at, the owners are asking more than $6000 for rent with 10months deposit.  She says she does not have that kind of money.  It was then than Supni had come forward to help her because his tenant had left.  He had let her the ground floor to her and told her to pay what ever she can afford.

 

Sangeetha tells her MIL to adjust to the situation.  MIL says she likes the house but does not like Supni.  Sangeetha tells her that they are not staying there for free but paying rent.  MIL wants to know how much.  Sangeetha says she is paying $3700 and MIL says it is too expensive.  Supni says no matter what MIL is going to say something is wrong.  Supni says everything is ready for paal kachiran.  Sangeetha tells him she will paal kachiran that day but will only move in the next day.

 

Selva in bed screaming in pain.  Mother is giving him massage.  Priya says that the person who hit him had some fun as he has not even left any unbeaten area on his body.  Rajalakhsmi asks who hit him ans she will take care of whoever it is.  Selva tells her it is Kannan, her brother.  Rakalakshmi goes down and calls her brother and scolds him for sending his men to hit Selva.  Kannan denies doing such a thing but Rajalakhsmi says how he can do that when she had taken him in from the streets and he is ungrateful.  She asks what wrong has her son doen for him to hit him like that.  Kannan gets angry with his sister and both start arguing.  Kannan tells her that he will go to the police with everything that chandra and she had done.  Rajalakshmi chases her brother out and tells him to do what he can.  Priya watches from upstairs and smiles.

 

Karthik is very happy and tells Meena that he had bashed up Selva.  Meena asks how and where.  Karthik tells her that their sister had informed him about where he was.  Meena asks what is the next step.  Ranjini comes there and tells them that soon Selva will be arrested.  Ranjini asks if Selva had seen Karthik's face.  Karthik says no.  Ranjini says she has fulfilled part of her promise to them and the other half will be fulfilled soon.

 

Ranjini goe sto Chandra's house with some file.  She enters Chandra's room and goes thru some files in the cabinet.  She takes out some blueprints and looks at them.  Chandramati comes back and hearing the  car, Neela quickly puts back the blueprints and comes out.  Priya sees her coming out of the room and asks what is in the file.  Neela hesitates at first but gives it to her saying soe would not understand anything.  Priya takes the file and returns it back to Neela.  Chandramathi enters and angrily shouts for Selva.  Priya goes to Chandra but Chandra tells her to move and calls for her brother.  When Selva comes down, Chandra hits him. THODARUM.

 

 

 

Ranjini alone at the mottai maadi thinking.  Meena toes to her and asks her what is wrong.  Ranjini says she had targeted for someone but missed.  Meena is confused and Ranjini says she targeted Selva to be jailed but his mother went instead.  Meena tells Ranjini to forget about it and also to stop working for Chandra.  Ranjini tells her she cannot do that because she wants to teach Chandra and her brother a lesson.  She tells Meena to go to bed and not to worry.  After Meena leaves, Ranjini talks to herself and apologizes for lying to her sister.

 

Chandra at home on the phone talking about the inaugural of her building.  Her mother Rajalakshmi enters and both Selva and Chandra are surprised to see her.  Chandra cuts her telephone conversation short and asks her mother how she came out and who had bailed her.  Chandra tells her mother that she has been too busy and had just come back from out of town and is preparing to leave for Mumbai.  She says as she was busy arranging finance for her project, she had no time to think about her mother.  Rajalakshmi calls out the person who bailed her out and in comes Supni.  Seeing him, Chandra's BP rises and she shouts at both her mother and Supni.  She tells her mother it would have been better if her mother had stayed in jail than coming out with Supni's help.  She asks Supni why he is helping her mother.  Supni tells Chandra that he has known Rajalakhsmi since they were kids and he could not bear to see her in jail.  Chandra insults both her mother and Supni. 

 

Next day, another argument arises between mother and daughter.  Mother brings the papers and shows daughter news about her arrest and how it has shamed her.  Chandra says she had no other way to safe her face as she did not want to go to jail.  Chandra tells her mother it is ok for her to go to jail and that she had never asked her mother for anything.  She has taken care of her mother like a queen and this is a small price to pay.  Chandra tells her mother not to forget when she was so poor that sheused to rush for free saree because she could not afford to buy one.  Mother counter attacks saying Chandra should not forget that she was working as a saree sales girl.  Both have a mud slinging match with words.  Kannan comes in and tells both of them to stop arguing as it can be heard in the garden.

 

Two guys are talking.  Karthik arrives there and his friends are surprised to see him with a new motorcycle.  They asks him where he got it and Karthik tells then that it was a gift from his boss for his contibution in making good profit for his company.  His friends want a treat and Karthik agrees.

 

Rajalakshmi then asks which lawyer has given the idea to send her to jail and wants to see him.  Chandra says not a lawyer.  Kannan then guesses that it must be Ranjini because she is very smart.  Mother and uncle tell Chandra that problems have been cropping up since Ranjini joined them and wants her to let Ranjini go.  Chandra refuses saying she needs Ranjini by her side as she is very smart,  Mother warns Chandra that it is dangerous to keep a smart person with them but Chandra refutes saying she will keep Ranjini with her no matter what.  She tells her mother and uncle to just enjoy their luxurious lifestyle and keep quiet and not to interfere in her business.  THODARUM.
