Ranbir runs after the police jeep but its speeds away. Ranbir then comes to know thru Fauji who tells him that Preet has blamed Guru and his family for stealing Guddo's jewellery. He manages to convince Fauji that he was unaware and that he will definitely bring rano back. Fauji then goes with Ranbir to the station. BSM family learn what Preet has done to Guru's family and says that the wound she has given now to Guru's family will never heal. Everyone is perplexed. In the police station Ranbir and Fauji learn that they can be bailed only next day and that too they will have to pay Rs.50000/ as penalty. Ranbir sells off his bike and when the money is short by few thousands, he sells off his guitar too. Next morning, Guru and his family are released from the jail and when Ranbir bows down to touch Guru's feet, Guru takes his step back.
