AR ff:Dancing to your tunes...smallprt pg94 1/5

Hi everyone!!!!!! I'm sumedha and I love all of you here at the forum a lot. First of all a very big Happy New Year to all of you and I sincerely hope that everyone has a safe, prosperous and fruitful year and be successful in every endeavour of yours.

Now, the reason as to why I have started this new thread is because I have just got an idea for an ff  but I don't  know if I should start. I thought I'd like to call this ff

Dancing to your tunes'.

I've written out a character sketch, please see if you guys like it'

 

Armaan Mallik

27 years old and one of the hottest men in the country'He's an actor who does TV show and he's also recently done a few movies. Lady luck has always smiled at him and he has seen success at a very young age. Armaan is passionate about his work and very good at it too. Many a times he has been compared to legends in his field but Armaan remains down to Earth and modest despite all the adulation specially from the girls.

 

Riddhima Gupta

She's a choreographer recently shifted to Bombay who's trying to make it big in Bollywood.Her dance is her passion and her reason to live'She has a unique style of her own and no one can doubt her god given talent.She's only 21years old but she decided to come to Bombay after winning a reality dance show. At heart Riddhima is a simple girl who has many ambitions.Her best friend is Muskaan Chaddha with whom she works as a team.Riddhima always puts her heart and soul into every piece that she does and it always shows through.

 

Abhimanyu Mallik

Armaan's younger brother who is 24 years old.He is an architect by profession and as a person a thorough charmer just like his brother.He is very commited to his work and has started an office "The Mallik Builders" recently.He lives with Armaan and they

both share a lot in common : from the good looks and tattoos on the outside to the charming and affectionate heart on the inside. Abhimanyu trusts his brother immensely and the two of the two of them have never hidden anything from each other.While abhimanyu looks up at Armaan, Armaan always looks for Abhi's opinion on things.

 

Nikki

As of now she is Miss Nikita Malhotra'soon to be Mrs. Nikita Mallik 'Mrs.Nikita Abhimanyu Mallik and not Mrs.Nikita Armaan Mallik. Nikki is the same age as Riddhima and has known Abhi and Armaan for ages.She too is an architect and the co-director of  the Mallik builders. Nikki and Abhi are very much in love with each other and live with armaan in the same house. While Abhimanyu is the love of Nikita's life, Armaan is her best friend. She shares a special bond with him and also organizes everything in his life- his date schedules, interviews etc.

 

Muskaan Chaddha

23 years old, Muskaan is a full on Punjabi kudi. She's also a brilliant choreographer who won the show with Riddhima and is now trying her luck in Bollywood. Very very talkative and impulsive by nature Muskaan lives her life to the fullest.Muskaan shares everything in her life with Riddhima. Though quite opposite by nature the two of them are inseparable.

 

Rahul Garewal

Rahul is a news reporter with a leading newspaper in Bombay.Though he appears jovial by nature,he is an inteeligent reporter with a keen eye for detail.Rahul knew Muskaan from when they were in Punjab and though he hasn't admitted it to himself he is quite smitten by her.Armaan and Rahul too know each other quite well a Rahul had done many interviews with Armaan.

 

Anjali Sharma

Anjali is Muskaan and Riddhima's boss. She owns a dance company called "Naach".A master of varied forms of dance, she is very tough on the exterior but also has an emotional side to her.Currently single,she is focusing entirely on bringing up Naach.

 

Shashank and Padma Gupta

Both of them docters,they love their daughter to bits.They wanted her to become a docter too Riddhima was on her own trip and they are not too happy to have let their daughter go and live all by herself in Bombay.

Hi everyone!!! You guys must be thinking where I had disappeared off to after putting up the character intro? Well my school had begun so I could not update this ff. First of all I want to say a huge huge thank you to each and very one of you who commented!!! Only after I started I realized how unsure I was whether to continue or not but you guys have been so very kind while commenting, thanks a ton! And I am really happy so many of went through the page pls pls take time to comment this time'.it would mean a lot to me. Now I have finally updated part 1 and I am hoping that you guys like it.

 

Part 1

 

Global Cinema Awards:

Anchor : Welcome back doston! We hope you're having a fabulous time here at the 2008 Global Cinema Awards! And now'.let me introduce our next performer'the brand new bollywood sensation'He came in from nowhere and took the industry by storm'With a refreshing debut and back to back hits, this year he might just bag most of the awards tonight!

 

Backstage'

A : God! They really overdo the intro so much'Nikki can you check where that Pallavi girl is? I'm supposed to be on stage in the next 5 minutes?

N : Chill out,she's probably in the girl's changing room.Go check yourself.

A : If I go in there right now they'll have a heart attack and besides aren't you supposed to be my best friend cum secretary? (making quotes with his fingers)

N : Remind me kyun?

A : Coz first of all I don't want a secretary and second of all tum kaafi hot ho'I mean you know producers come,they see you bringing in the coffee and they just melt.then I quote my price.see? it works out perfectly for me. (smiling cheekily)

N  : Armaan! Shut up! (beep beep) oh you've got a message (she was holding his phone)

A: Chuck it, switch off my phone na? and where the hell is this Pallavi?

Anchor : And now the ladykiller is here himself, for the first time on stage we bring you ARMAAN MALLIK !!!!(lots of cheering and shouting)

Armaan's eyes are searching frantically for Pallavi'Suddenly a girl comes, grabs hold of his hand and runs towards the stage'

A : who're you??

R: What??(she can't hear him above all the cheering)

She turns around and continues to move forward'.until they have reached the stage'The lights go off and when they come back again, Armaan finds the girl sitting on the swing on stage just like Pallavi did in every rehearsal. Armaan is confused as ever and then slowly the music starts playing'.

 Chaahe tum kuchh na kaho maine sun liya Ki saathi pyaar ka mujhe chun liyaChun liyaMaine Sun liyaPehla nashaPehla khumaar'..Slowly Armaan gets used to the cheering audience and looks down at the girl who had just twirled into his arms.Dressed in a short red skirt and white shirt and tie,she looked like a typical school girl with her waist length hair left open and a red hairband to match.But all Armaan noticed were her wide green eyes'the innocence he saw in them would have made him think she really was a school girl' Soon the song changed and they dashed back to change. She came back in a stunning red saree and soon they were back on stage'Suraj Hua Maddham Chaand Jalne Laga

Aasmaan Yeh Haay Kyon Pighalne LagaArmaan just goes with the flow of the song'.The girl seemed to know all the steps and was dancing with her arms around his neck as though nothing weird was happening at all'

 As Armaan dipped her back, Riddhima looked up at him and was caught in his blue-eyed gaze'She felt his arms tighten around her bare back as he brought her up'She was panting a bit'he slowly twirled her around lifting her off  her feet'The dancers gathered around them in a circle and they went to change for their final part of the medley.She came back in a flash and asked him urgently'can you lift 50kgs? He was so mersmerised by her in that stunning white gown that he forgot to speak'She was looking like she descended from heaven'.A: What ?  he mumbledR : maine kaha can you lift me up???A: Of course I can!She looked him up and down'no she was just being stupid'but then he had never practised  it with her ever before'As she was wondering all this Armaan just lifted her into his arms and walked onstage' Pehli nazar mein

Kaise jaadoo kar diya

Tera ban baita hai

Mera jiya

Jaane kya hoga

Kya hoga kya pata

Is pal ko milke

Aa jee le zara



They danced together beautifully, the crowd was thoroughly enjoying it'As he lifted her up in the air again he sensed that she was holding herself stiff'I wont let you fall he whispered'she looked into his eyes and felt his arms on her back as he lifted her even higher'With her eyes closed in that one moment she gave herself up to the music'He moved with her in perfect sync as though they had rehearsed it a million times.He swung her around and she whispered to him'.Sing the song'.Armaan looked at the beautiful girl in his arms'and he sang to her'Baby i love u, baby i love you, baby i love you, baby i love you ' so..

hey sumedha, ofcourse you should continue with this concept. You've described the characters and their relationship with each other so well it makes me wonder how you could possibly think this story wouldnt be liked here.
