Akshay and John on NDTV

We had recently reported that Akshay and John were slated to appear on NDTV. The reason being the promotion of their latest film Garam Masala. The producers of the film have come up with a unique way of promoting it. They have tied up with NDTV and the culmination of this collaboration will be in the form of the show 'Akshay, John Aur Kaun.'

Along with John and Akshay, the three debutante actresses namely Nargis, Neetu Chandra and Daisy Bopanna will be a part of the show. The show is based on the concept of speed dating which is in keeping with the concept of the film. In the film, Akshay plays a Casanova who is dating the three women. NDTV had an SMS poll through which women all over the country participated. By smsing, these women stood a chance to meet their favorite stars i.e. Akshay and John. Seven fans for Akshay and John each, were selected through this poll. According to the concept of the show, the actors will select one winner each, after spending some time with them and these winners will go along with them for the premiere of Garam Masala. More than about speed dating, this show is about interaction between the stars and their fans.

Akshay and John shot for the episode on Tuesday at a popular Mumbai nightclub. And we were present at this shoot! The three actresses of the film were also present. The participants came from different parts of the country and also from different backgrounds. In fact, one of them was even married. The prospect of meeting her favorite star had brought her all the way to Mumbai.

The show kicked off with all the participants introducing themselves. After that Akshay and John went on to spend time with them. It was quite evident that these women were really excited to meet the nation's heart throbs! And along with this excitement what was also evident was their nervousness! We're sure that our two heart throbs made the day of not only the two winners but also all the participants!
